Opinion Thread(if the Mods will let us).
Rebecca Gomez in purple !!
Gosh...I was looking for a live thread while the show was on.
I thought it was really good. I didn't start watching Fox until it has been on for a few years...so I loved looking at the early video of Sean and Alan...LOL
I am sorry that I was tardy in starting this thread. Please forgive me.
Hard to believe that Alan Colmes looked even worse when he was younger!
LOL....you are so right!
I am not complaining...I am so sorry, I didn't mean it that way...
I could have started one...but, I didn't.
Greta's and Bill O's comments were telling. The idea that management doesn't micromanage is a very big deal. Ailes philosphy is to hire the best, trust them, and let them go.
I liked the clip of Carl Cameron telling Brit that the Bush team wanted FOX to wait 20 minutes before reporting the Bush DWI story in 2000. Brit's answer, "We can't do that." Great!
I started watching FOX in late 1999 or early 2000. I do get upset at some coverage and the comments of some guests, but I am very thankful FOX is on the air.
Sometimes I remember back to when we had only the big three news networks. It's amazing, actually apalling to think of the power they had to sway opinion. The news was whatever they decided it would be.
When we get upset about how the MSM treats the Prez or covers the war, think of what it must have been like for Reagan and Nixon. There was no talk radio, no alternative media. The fact that these men both won re-election leads me to have faith in the American people. Like Nixon said, there is a "silent majority" of hard-working American people that just want to raise their families and do the right thing. No matter how the MSM tries to twist the truth, the truth prevails.
we didn't get Fox on our cable until about 5 years ago, right before Greta come over. There's alot of old CNN people there. That's who I had to watch during all the big news happenings, even the 2000 election. Now, that's the only channel I watch. I very rarely even watch a regular show on TV, if it's not Fox, it's only the history or discovery on.
he did, didn't he!!! He even looked like his eyes were crossed!!
I think the program re-airs at 11:00 (Eastern),so keep the thread going and add comments on the next airing.
good idea! I was doing some laundry and missed alittle, so will watch it then.
Do you think Colmes had an operation to straighten out his eyes? And what about Sean? If Hannity was a ball player, I'd swear he used steroids!
Live thread... The Fox News at Ten anniversary show re-airs at 11pm ET / 8pm PT
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my FoxFan list. *Warning: This can be a high-volume ping list at times.
I complain sometimes about Fox...and that there seem to be more "lefty" opinions than I like...but, the fact is I still watch it...
It is on every minute of the day, with rare exceptions for sports or weather.
And, of course, when my granddaughters are here..LOL
I think Brit Hume is about the best, and most fair newsman in the business...I trust him more than anyone else.
Thanks for starting this thread, US Navy guy. I didn't realize the show was on until after 9pm ET (I'm watching baseball). I'll catch the rerun of this show at 11pm ET...
When I think about what type of people Fox News hired to be it's On-Air talent I thank G_D for Mr Murdock and Mr Ailes. Every one of the Fox News people are the type that yopu would want to have over to your house for Thankgiving and let each and every one of them watch your kids(even Alen Combs).
It is worth you while to watch(maybe even TiVo or tape it).
Same here. It was like seeing the light again after living for many years in complete darkness...
Thanks... I just caught a few minutes of it between 9:30 and 10, but it looked fascinating. I'll definitely be tuning in at 11...
