And one of the finest.
Why thank you, rodguy.
Bossie and Ingraham and now Perkins are backing off their condemnation of Hastert.
Yes, today it's "let's move forward!"
o brother!!
Per Foley, future bombshells are going to be firecrackers at best. Foley's gone and the matter is under investigation.
I'm sure Democrats thought this would linger so their revelations would have more impact. They were wrong, again.
Laura: Republicans need to get back on track and off Foley.
Yup.
Good for Talent. He pointed out earlier that Claire supported the release of classified material. In her monologue (allowed by Timmy) she said it was ridiculous to say she supported that. Talent came back with nearly the exact quote from the NYT when she said it was okay because the terrorists knew about it anyway. Oh, Claire is rather stumbling.
Thank for the nuggets and everyone knew the best way for Mel to get back in the good graces of the Hollywood crowd he would have to go anti-war and anti-Bush big time.
He did. Big time.
I think these panelists have heard loud and clear from their constituencies.
Who's this Tony Perkins fool?
He is with a conservative religious organization. I can't remember the name.
Thanks. He's really playing into the MSM spin on Foley.
*
Save Darfur is still running their commercial, although I could swear they changed the voiceover to clarify it a bit.
Liberal (&MSM) mantra - Pregnent mother carrying 3 month old is "fetus", NOT "baby" - except when it 's their own.
&&&&
That is quite a revelation. Libs have babies at the 3 month ultrasound. How will he ever live that down with the Emily's List and NOW and NARAL gang!
Talent is explaining his stem cell position quite well. Timmy is trying to make him look inconsistent. Talent is doing a good job because he has informed himself on the facts, has thought through his positions and he sticks with them.
McCaskell says that her faith directs her to heal the sick. (Oh the sanctimony.)
"Why is that relevant in a US SENATE race? Foley was in the House!"
Because, IMHO, the DBM and Dims want to keep the issue on Foley because:
1. they can keep using the old and incorrect saying of how the Pubbies are the 'culture of corruption',
2. they can keep droning on about how the Pubbies are irresponsible because they SHOULD have known and didn't do anything,
3. they use it as the Pubbies don't care about children and don't protect them and they let predators go after them (never mind that the Dims support the ACLU, some support NAMBLA - -free speech don't ya know (the ACLU supports NAMBLA cases, so one could say that Dims also support NAMBLA by way of association)
4. they think the Christian Right will be disgusted and not turn out to vote or vote for the Dims (some of the *polls* show this, though others do not).
5. they want to keep Nat'l Security and the WOT off the front page because the Prez was giving speeches during and after 9/11 and his poll #s and the Pubbies poll #s were going up. Dims know that they cannot win if Nat'l Security is the major issue w voters.
6. they need to keep the economy off the news. Unemployment at 4.6%, oil prices down, DOW highest ever.
As a side note: I think this will backfire on the Dims as I think it's angered many Pubbies - they feel the Dims pulled a dirty trick and I have read posts by FReepers who were considering voting for another party, not voting and/or hadn't previously donated to the RNC or Pubbies - - this situation has angered many and they have beome Broken Glass Republicans again.
The Dims also need to be careful because some almost sound like they're gay bashing and gays are *supposedly* party of their base.
Perkins is President of Family Research Council, very powerful among conservatives.
My pleasure, Chuck.
