Can't this story end. The guy was a creep hitting on the pages. If a single male congressman was hitting on the female pages, he would also be a creep.
Depends on how he is voting on the issues, illegal immigrants, social security reform, Congressional reform(earmarks), and as long as he isn't supporting a gay marriage amendment, I would vote for the guy.
If I want my rep to vote 100% of what I believe, I would need to run for office.

The facts really don't mean that much. The implication is that Foley, and by extension the entire Republican party, routinely stalks and molests the childrem.
This is the message the DNC/MSM decided to shout from the rooftops, so that's what the masses are hearing.
This LA Times article makes it appear that Foley was like any other homosexual; not having a relationship until AFTER the page was of age.
This doesn't excuse Foley's actions and he should have resigned, but it appears the Dems are swimming up stream, trying to make this anything other than a homosexual relationship.
And according to their standards--between two consenting adults--something they have highly approved of.....as in the case of homosexual Dems Rep. Jerry Studds & Rep. Barney Franks.....who never resigned. And, of course....in the heterosexual relationship of President Clinton and White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

Thanks to the Supreme Court, yes it is. But that wasn't always the case. Until pretty recently in fact, sodomy was illegal in many states. In some cases, but not all, that included heterosexual sodomy. The Supreme Court struck down the Texas (same sex) Sodomy law in 2003 LAWRENCE V. TEXAS (02-102) 539 U.S. 558 (2003), reversing the decision of an earlier Supreme Court decsion BOWERS v. HARDWICK, 478 U.S. 186 (1986)
Many state laws had been struck down by state courts. Not that many were actually changed by the lawmakers.
And prior to 2003, so did the legality of the act itself, regardless of age of the participants.

I'm also wondering why the Washington Post is saying Tyson Vivyan is "divorced" based upon a bit of gay slang in an IM to Foley. I don't believe Vivyan has ever been married to a female. Even in the extremely unlikely event that he had been, he seems to have spent an inordinate amount of time in a gay bar called Burkhart's Pub, running up a high score in blackjack the same year of this so-called "divorce." I'm getting the impression that it's important to the Dim story line that this guy not be accurately portrayed as being homosexual.
If we were to throw all the perverts out....there would only be women left. So far, the only thing I can see that Foley did wrong was have creepy communication with pages.....

My #120 is about Tyson Vivyan. He is the blonde haired guy who's appeared all over TV saying he got IMs in June 1997, when he was 17 (which he didn't save). He did show someone (press, FBI) IMs he got in 2004, when he was 24. I'm not sure about Jodan Edmund being roomie of Pelosi's son (she's what 87? The kid must be older than Foley:)).

Right. That's what gays do - engage in sodomy and spread disease. Meanwhile, the talk about "gay pride", "gay rights", and their "lifestyle". Foley is just another sodomite.
That would also be true if the "Older Person" was hetrosexual, although maybe not quite as much if she were an older hetro female.
