Ditto!
IMO you are correct! The problem with this witch hunt on the left is again, if the left feels you are not marching in lockstep(something the left accuses us of daily) with their views you deserve to be burned at the stake. Of course you can be Republican AND be gay! I know a lot of gay people who DON'T believe in gay marriage! It's what Tammy Bruce describes in her book as ''group think''. You will be ostracized and reviled if you don't ''go along'' with! It's really sick. It's the same simple mindedness we often see in the African American community when they say Condi Rice is a traitor cause she is a Republican. Huh?! I guess in their minds if your black you HAVE to vote RAT! Thats the lib mentality folks!
Excellent post. Coulnd't say it better myself.
No! A gay man who is a closet Republican.
He doesn't want any one to know that he supports and votes Republican.
I completely understood your point. YOU are missing MY point. You and I will vote for the republicans. MOST of the evangelicals will vote for the republicans. This episode won't change that. What is in question is the vote of those who are so conservative that they believe that the GOP "needs" or "deserves" to lose this election. The dems are aiming at that segment of the electorate with this stunt. They want them NOT to vote AT ALL. They know they won't vote dem. But, if they don't vote - it's the same thing. If they can convince that segment of the electorate to stay away from the polls, the dems win.
No, she isn't, but then the "list" also had Mikulski from Maryland (a dimocrat).
I notice that Sen Mikulski (dimocrat) from Maryland is on the list.
Janet Reno notwithstanding, I know a couple of lady lawyers who certainly (definitely) are not but they are just as tough as any male attorney. Had I heard the same old fellow as you make that remark, I would've busted a gut. I am now. LOL.
From what has been explained to me is that this list contains the names of people who are gay but do not support the "gay agenda." That's why Hillary is not on the list. She openly supports the gay agenda, but says she doesn't. Is everythinbg straight now? OOOOPS, poor choice of words. My bad. LOL!
There was a sit-com can't remember the name of it. 4 straigh guys living together. One of them was a closet Republican and he was agonizing about coming out of the closet to one of his liberal friends living in the same apartment. Well at first the other three thought he was gay. They were getting ready to be supportive of their "gay" friend. Well, he finally set things straight, and his Liberal friend was so mad he wouldn't talk to him for a while.
LOL!
Well, Alice it could be worse you could live in Teddy country.
You maybe right, remember I am not a practicing Christian, I sort of operate on my own beliefs now. Actually I don't think one needs a churc to tell you what is right or wrong... I would have liked to attend Catholic services becaus I love the church but I am mad at them. I am extremely pissed with the only chuch I have ever part of, ever, the Catholic Church... and for the same reasons... because they did not act properly when they learned of the abuses. I lost a lot of respect for the CC, and I give them hell every time I have a chance. Again, because they have been Hypocrites. To me, this issue will not be over until the day I hear the Pope himself, extending an apology for the church's actions... right after the Sunday mass to the entire world... a SINCERE APOLOGY, followed a vigorous clean up of the seminaries and a very CLEAR message that homosexuality is a SIN and not an accepted practice by the churh. Needless to say I do not support/agree with the plans to elevate our recently departed Pope to "Sainthood!"... because it was under his watch that these abuses took place. I know this will upset a lot of watered down Catholics but too bad. It must said.
Yes do, I work with several and there was time a while I dated a woman who had many homosexual friends. They were like brothers to her. Older men, very low key, professionals, rich, and you would never know they were homos.
But I think what you want to know. IF MY BROTHER was a homosexual... I would sure love him (I am human :) - but I would not agree with his lifestyle. How would we get along? well, that depends of how respect he would have for the family for me, as part of his family. He could a "radical" homosexual, in you face kind of a person, in which case, I would disown him as a brother (My family is very demanding and can be very tough and so am I). If he were a low key person, willing to live his life and spare the family the details, then I think I could get along with him nicely. If he were say, about 18 years old, my advise to him would be: OK, you are what you are, live your life the way you want, try to enjoy it, find happiness and leave the rest of us alone. Certainly I would discourage him of getting a job in Republican senator's office! :)
I thinks the key word here is "platform,"
I don't recall if not supporting the homosexual lifestily is part of the Republican platform :), I don't believe it is... The closest thing related to that is weather you support homosexual-marriages or not (I maybe wrong). BUT I think, this business of "values," has taken a life of its own since the last election, when the religious right made it clear that values were important. And the only reason this happened is because these values have been under steady assault from the left (from which I consider the homosexuals to be a big part of) for at least the last 25 years. We all remember people were surprised by the homosexual marriages in Massachussets and that was a wake up call
So... it is sort of understood that the Republican party, as a party, adheres a lot more to, leans more toward so called conservative's values than the Democrats. Now I admit, this is a fluid situation and It may change.... Does the REPUBLICAN PARTY support the conservative's values the way the left supports theirs? or not?... That is the question and here comes Allen again... I am not sure about him now... and it may turn out they are not our our party.
Now, can a homosexual be a Republican if the party indeed becomes the "values" party so to speak?... Frankly if does not make sense to me, BUT who is stopping them from voting Republican? The problem as I see it, is that I don't belive they "just want to be Republicans" I am sorry :) I can not buy that argument... (we have been under attack for the last 25 years... I am in "battle" mode and will probably for many years yet), I actually think this is all a ploy, to divide the Republican party (sorry). It's not an accident or coincidence that you have all these homos in Republican's offices.... They have an agenda I am sure of it. Oh, one more thing, if homosexuals want to vote Republican and don't want to "share" their private life with us... then I have no problems whatsoever... but COME ON!... we know better don't we? :) - Look at the military... their plan is to TELL everyone they are homosexuals in order to advance the agenda. I don't think homos are in the military because they really love the military or want to serve the country. If they were, they would serve the country - like many Americans do - and shup up about they are or they are not... But we all know what real plans are.
