Wow can't wait to see what the Democrat controlled House is going to do to the Budget next year... Hmmm I think there will have to be a large allowance for Cheese and Peanut Butter to feed all the Illegal Immigrants that they will make Citizens to secure their future voting Block...

Conservatives need to get a clue.

The Democrats mean to destroy this country... Imagine for a minute when they win the house how they will scream that the country gave them a mandate.. and what did they run on hate Bush, Impeach him, Get us out of Iraq, Increase our taxes, retreat from the War on Terror, Promote Illegal Immigration, Tear down a fence that hasn't even been built yet. If the Republican base doesn't get serious about thwarting the coming storm prepare for some serious problems regaining control.

Oh no, the world's basic premis for a "weak" US dollar is now wrong, therefore, the dollar will become stronger against all currencies. This means the giant sucking sound you hear is imports, investments and democrats whinning about lost jobs.

Another year of lower annual deficits, lower unemployment, higher stock markets, higher wages, and more people owning their own homes.

Of course, in the thick of things, people will b!tc# and whine about it not being enough, yada, yada, yada...but History...History will recognize our Amazing Age.

Oh, and no new 9/11 attacks in more than 5 years. Methinks a few things are being done properly.

Terrible how the country is doing absolutely great and according to the polls, voters appear to be ready to throw it all away and vote in a socialist party to power. It boggles the mind

It wasn't that long ago that I remember the first (non-wartime) $100,000,000,000 budget.

But, if the D's were in control of both Congress and the Presidency instead of the R's, it would of been at zero a long time ago! (Sarcasm off)

No I'm not a liberal spy, but we should be excited when we have a surplus. A 250 billion deficit is still a deficit, and a bad one at that.

The GOP needs to curb the spending bigtime.

No this isn't IBTZ or anything like that, I'm just sick of the excitment of a 250 billion deficit when the bums in Congress should be cutting back on spending.

$250 billion? Hmmmm... The US Treasury is reporting a $304 billion current deficit with September yet to be included.

Lowering taxes has been the #1 CAUSE of this effect.

" The good news was that job gains for both July and August turned out to bigger than previously estimated, taking some of the bite out of September's figures.

The report also showed that job growth during the 12 months ending in March may have been 45 percent higher than previously reported.

The Labor Department said payrolls for the 12 months that ended in March 2006 will be revised upwards by a whopping 810,000 jobs, the biggest revision since 1991. "

We are now well below the the average budget deficit over the last 30 years, which is 2.6%. And look at that trend over the last 3 years. It's better than anyone predicted as recently as 6 months ago. You can see that we had a surplus during the Clinton years, but everyone agrees that it was an illusion due in large part to the stock market bubble that finally burst shortly after Bush took office. The end of that speculative market, the attacks of 9/11, and the subsequent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq all took their toll on the federal budget. Viewed in that light, it is simply amazing that the deficit is as small as it is now.

This will be the lowest the budget fall unless the GOP retains both houses of congress

2% of GDP is better than any years of the 1970s and 1980s and 1990s up to 1997.

Where it not for the spending spluge we would ahve a balanced budget even with the tax cuts and 3% annual spending increases, including all the 911 spending

Nobody cars because Tom Foley is out of the Republican party.

Gerry Studds is still in the Democrat party. So is Mel Reynolds. And Barney Frank, whose boyfriend apparently ran a gay escort service from Barney's basement.

The laffer curve is completely validated.

Of course, the Democrats still cling to their TTTTtax the rich policy. Because the top 1% only pays 37% of federal income taxes.
