In history class today we were talking about the debauchery of Rome and my teacher brought up the Foley scandal. Some banter went back and forth amongst the class and this one guy says he heard on the news(AirAmerica?) that Foley gave the RNC $100,000 from his campaign and that it was hush money so he could save his job, lol.
I heard he was giving out free car washes for a year too
Foley returned $100,000 from his campaign coffers to the RNC after he resigned, as he was no longer running for re-election.
Pretty standard thing to do.
Oh, yeah. I'm sure if AirAmerica said it, it must be true!
Foley may have turned over his campaign funds to the RNC, for use by his replacement candidate but not as hush money.
dims will eat their own with the collapse of this manufactured scandal. Indictments will put some marxists behind bars! Bank on it!!!
LLS
I thought all these bums were ALLOWED to keep campaign money that was 'left over.'Am I wrong on that?
Exactly what I said to him.
Not mandatory.
As opposed to the $100,000 job that Bill Clinton's buddies gave Monica Lewinsky to shut the hell up and lie under oath?
Air America. That was the criminal enterprise that stole federal tax dollars from a Boys & Girls Club charity to postpone bankruptcy.
Who's doing jail time over that misappropriation of tax dollars? I heard they are "giving the money back". Doesn't cut it. Enron had embezzlers too.
I say we look at the FCC licenses of ABC affiliates. Should've gone after CBS affiliates.
This Zogbyism during campaigns has got to end. DNC coordination with media mouthpieces.
Details, details. But I did hear on one of the alphabet statons that same thing the student said he heard.
Well, I guess the 100K didn't work. /s
Must be awful to live in the sludge like a Democrat.
If our guys have the guts to do it.
Foley gave the RNC far more than $100k
