CLAIM: FILTHY FOLEY ONLINE MESSAGES WERE PAGE PRANK GONE AWRY
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.
The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.
The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.
The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.

This whole this is to ABC as the forged National Guard papers was to CBS. The MSM will jump on anything that fits their template, true or not.

"I set Foley up by egging him into cyber-sex while I recorded it all and passed it around to people I knew would use it for a political dirty trick. Now that the FBI is involved they will see all the IMs, not just the ones i cherry-picked for release, and will see I am the one who initiated it, so my lawyer advised me to use the "prank gone wrong" excuse." Bingo!. Give that FReeper a cee-gar.

My guess would be that he probably had spent time IM'ing with one or more pages while he was pretty looped and really doesn't recall what he might have typed in the heat of the moment(s). My contention right along has been that IM's are not like e-mails. E-mails are frequently kept in their entirety by one or both of the parties involved. But IM's are normally gone as soon as they scroll off the screen unless specific steps are taken to perserve them. I have had some pretty funny, or otherwise remarkable, IM's with models I used to work with and saving them required a fair amount of work on my part.
I suspect Mr. Foley really doesn't know at this stage of the game what someone might have preserved for whatever reason.

You must really want to see Pelosi as our next Speaker.
Your calls for Hastert's resignation are disingenuous as well as being pretty stupid advice for the GOP.

Foley still needs to resign. He is not innocent. Just incredibly stupid and perverse. Exactly why vetting hetro-homo proclivities is SOP for security clearances. However, it does nothing to stop people like Clinton, Condit, Foley, et al from being elected. That is the responsibility of the electorate.
To: thingumbob
He's also going to sing like a bird to avoid his own prosecution
Oh, let's hope so. You can bet there are some Dems who are squirming inside their closets at this very minute.

I am glad you see it the way I do. I hope they get theirs. I think Foley was Rush's congressman and he just said, imagine how Mark Foley feels right now?
Foley was never caught doing anything but this prank got the best of him. Disgusting little pukes. Hope they are happy and I hope all the people who were out to destroy Foley are really happy now. They got their pound of flesh including the RATS.
I hope Mark Foley gets the help he needs and goes on to be a productive citizen. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Who said that?

Speaking of "Brian Ross". Did anyone notice his body language on O'Reiley last night once Bill brought up the George Soros conspiracy theory? He went blank and his Adam's apple kept bobbing until fade-out. I think he just didn't want people thinking along these lines, ala Dan Rather.
I mean, hasn't ABCNEWS playing it pretty smart this year? Maybe they got too smart!
