I already did that monthes ago. I get my news from Rush and FR. Same here but I'm talking about a real effort to get folks to just ignore them long enough to get them to realize they are shooting themselves in the foot going left. Their ratings have already took a hit but a dramatic hit for a month or two just may wake them up.

Scarborough is practicing propaganda, thinking he and his liberal buds can convince the values voters to allow the Commie Vampires who promote gay marriage into office?
??
Not rational.

I guarantee you all that thirty days from now, the primary subject of concern of the average Election Day voter WILL NOT have ANYTHING to do with ex-Congressman Foley's behavior, or Speaker Hastert's response to it. FOX News may trend conservative, but it is as much a ratings-driven organization as any other network. It's their job to hype the news; it's ours to put things in perspective.

Cheney just said today that the GOP will retain control of both houses. I think Rove has his own plan to counter-attack against this organized smear campaign by the DNC.

This is bull$shit . Republicans will still vote Republican because they know that the Foley issue leaked out of the DNC septic tank of ideas . I think more Republicans will vote for their candidates because they are sick and tired of the left's underhanded tactics.

Yeah, but just wait until the first internal DNC memo turns up telling their candidates what to say to exploit the most mileage out of this thing.

IOW - Out here in the HEART of REDSTATE AMERICA this is having absolutely no effect what-so-ever.
My mother is not a well-informed professional, but she was tut-tutting it and started asking me if I'd seen it, if I had heard about it. She doesn't know the details and isn't really interested in them, all she knew was what she picked up in passing off the tv and thought it was "awful". I am sure that she and her sisters are tut-tutting about it when they talk. Sigh. It's not whether this is going to have a big effect on attitudes....it has. The question is how much will still be lingering in a month.

Its not the Republicans that are mattering, its the Reagan Democrats.

I agree that this story is not a vote changer. The big drop in gasoline prices is a much bigger issue to 95% of the voters. This is either hype or disinformation being given to Fox.

I don't think this story matters much to Reagan Democrats. Just my opinion. After all the Clinton scandals the standard for a real scandal is now so high that this story looks insignificant to the voters.

Yesterday afternoon on NPR they announced a poll (small numbers) taken in rural high GOP areas, and failed to find one voter that was changing their vote to the RAT party. Wow. You mean NPR honestly reported their findings rather than bury it?

I disagree. This point out what those who think gays are perverts have been saying all along. They are sitting back and saying "See I told you so" to the whole country. I would be much happier if the Republican party, especially elected officials, would have the courage to proclaim the party as "The anti-gay party". But more and more that is not the case.

So, are we to really believe that: 1 - WHEN A REPUBLICAN ACTS LIKE A D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T
2 - the disappointed Republicans will then go to the the voting box and vote DEMOCRAT?
Doesn't make sense to me.
No, they may not directly vote Democrat, but if they vote Libertarian or Taxpayers (or whatever they call themselves now), or don't vote at all, that's the equivalent of a vote for the Democrats.
