The first funny thing about seeing the mask drop and the real politics of people high and low in the Mainstream Media revealed is how regularly these sorts of things show not just liberalism, but nasty, gloating, scornful leftism of the most unappealing sort - the very antithesis of the kind of attitude one would want from even a fair-minded journal of liberal opinion, let alone a news source that at least pretends to be objective.
The second funny thing is we get revelations of this nature because people employed by news organizations are apparently unaware that things they say or do could be...well, newsworthy. And they're not always real bright about covering their tracks.
With that in mind, let us savor this email received recently by the Republican National Committee from an email address at CBS News:
From: Cammisa, Vincent [mailto: VAC@cbsnews.com]
Sent: Wednesday, October 04, 2006 5:34 PM
To: Internships
Subject: Perverted Internship Program
Please send me information on how I can become an intern for some perverted, phony family-values Congressman. I know there's no shortage of Republican hypocrites on the Hill, so please rush me the info ASAP. And don't forget to keep covering-up your dirty little secrets, it makes great fodder for your enemies.
Sincerely,
Vinny Cammisa
Our enemies, indeed. At least they identify themselves by name, employer and email address.
Oh, and one more question: Would Edward R. Murrow have sent that email?
"to make personal attacks on a political organization. That was just dumb. What made it terminally dumb is that the work email was issued by a supposedly-neutral media organization. Said organization is probably getting a call right now to inquire whether Mr. Cammisa's views represent the official opinion of CBS News; and if not, then under what circumstances should emails originating from cbsnews.com should be accepted as being official?
Guess they haven't issued Katie Couric her own e-mail address yet...and she has had to use Vincent Cammisa's in the interim.
What was RNC's reply? And what did CBS Corp say about it?
He must have been beat up a lot in school!
ROFLMAO!!!!! Any takers on the over/under for job longevity for this dufus?
In a perverse way, this mouse Vinny Cammisa "gets it", (although I doubt he realizes it).
Disgusting sex scandals involving rape, sodomy, perversion, and pedophilia, etc., are not surprising when a Democrat politician gets nailed. Heck, Democrat voters laugh that stuff off, and everybody else just shrugs and says, "Well, that's the Democrats for you." The point is, NOBODY is shocked by Democrat behavior.
But Republicans have always been held to a higher standard, and disgusting behavior that is perfectly okay for a Democrat is totally unacceptable for a Republican. THAT IS EXACTLY why the sick shenanigans of this fairly obscure Florida politician have been leading the news cycle for a week. Republicans are not supposed to act like Democrats.
Before anybody whines about the unfairness of it all they should remember that it is that higher standard expected of Republicans that makes Republicans better than Democrats, and it is why normal, traditional American families have always looked to the GOP for leadership.
Anywone who doesn't know that CBS is 100% dedicated to helping the Democrats and hurting the Republicans must have been asleep for the past 30 or 40 years. Remember Rathergate? Nothing new here.
You guys have got to be kidding!! DON'T YOU KNOW THAT ANYONE CAN USE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, AT WILL????? You can't automatically pin this on CBS! I get junk email from my own email address all the time. If Spammers can do it, any leftwing kook can do it. So don't go off half cocked until it is fully investigated and that this jerk is really from CBS and he REALLY sent it.
I'm sure.
Funny thing is, I really believe the typical liberal extremist CBS socialist IS biased and hate-filled enough to have thought it, then angry enough to have written it, then stupid enough to actually send it!
I'm going to post what I just posted on another thread:
One thing we have learned this week is that the Democratic Party, the party who believes that it's fine to have homosexuals as Boy Scout leaders, has now solidified its position on adults who are even rumored to be "over-friendly" to minors: the DNC is now firmly on record that they must be immediately fired, facts be damned, and any and all people who might have known about their actions must be put under oath and subject to dismissal.
I haven't fleshed out all the ramifications of that, but I'm thinking the NEA should be VERY worried.
Give it a rest. Why would somebody send an email with a nobody behind the address? And I'm sure the RNC has had this happen often enough before that they know how to trace the mail back.
You cant fool which SMTP server sent it however.
Why should WE wait to confirm the facts? Nobody else does.
The RNC will have the original e-mail and in that e-mail will be the header info which shows the route taken as well as information such as the origin of the e-mail.
Yep, I manage a mail server in my company. It is very easy to see its origin.
A look at the headers of the message would tell you where it came from.
You have to look at the source code for the message see if it was spoofed or not...
