In a busy day of campaigning today, President Bush made two fundraising appearances starting with a reception for Representative Rick Renzi in Scottsdale, Arizona where he also signed H.R. 5441 - the Homeland Security Appropriations Act funding the border fence - and then a reception for Colorado gubernatorial candidate Bob Beauprez in Englewood, Colorado. In his speeches he emphasized the importance of electing Republicans in the interest of our nation's security and strength.
Also today First Lady Laura appeared at two Republican fundraisers, one for Representative Curt Weldon in Springfield, Pennsylvania, and later for Representative Tom Reynolds in Amherst, New York and was interviewed on a youth radio station in Buffalo and attended a mock trial.
In addition, the Bush economy achieved new heights today as the Dow closed at 11,850...........the highest in history!
Today we are doing a special tribute, not only to our great President, but also to our friend and fellow Freeper, Tony Snow. If you'd like to contribute comments, we welcome your input, but we ask that all comments remain positive toward both the President and Tony to keep this our 'Sanity Island.'
This is for you, Tony...............you are a perfect compliment to the President whom we deeply respect and admire. You are a Godly man - witty, intelligent and combative in a gentlemanly sort of way, just as he is, and have proven to be the perfect spokesman for President Bush. You are, as he is, a joy to watch as you defend the facts against the onslaught of seemingly braindead pseudo-journalists' attacks disguised as questions, and we smile every day as you clean their intellectual clocks in defense of the President's strong, well reasoned, pro-American policies.
Many of us have prayed for you through your illness, thanking God for your recovery, and as you made the difficult decision to leave broadcasting to become President Bush's Press Secretary, and we thank God for not only your health but also your decision to sacrifice much to serve your country as you serve the President.
We know that you are self-effacing and humble (another characteristic you share with your boss), and won't take credit for the changes in style at the White House, but we also know that you have had a hand in a stronger, feistier White House presentation, and for that we thank you.
On this thread we express our deep and well-founded admiration for President Bush daily, but on this day, we have chosen to include you in our tribute to jobs well done.
Thank you, Tony, for all you do for your country, your President, and us!
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose! These are great times to be a Bushbot..........AND a Snowflake!!
LOL! WTG, Karl! Lookin' GOOD!
Mr. President,
Thank you for caring for this country and for the conscientious job that you do. You've changed things for the better since you've been in office. Your wife is the best first lady we've ever had, even better than your mother was. Please take that as a compliment!
We pray for you often, and for your family and the vice president.
Mr. Snow,
Thank you for accepting the job at the White House. I used to love listening to Ari Fleisher's press conferences, and he was good, but you are the best in my lifetime. You are making a positive change for the best at your job. I know it is probably a sacrifice of time with your family and finances, but please thank your wife and family too. They are a part of the fine work that you do.
Prayers for your continued outstanding efforts with the press. Prayers for your good health.

To TONY:
If there were an election, for anything, I think YOU'D WIN! You're the perfect person, at the perfect time, for the perfect President at this time. God has blessed us with YOUR wit and abilities. Pressers seem more REAL now. And, having you as a FREEPER is the BEST!
THANK YOU....THANK YOU....and THANK your family, too!

Good start. Any more??
Does anyone have the photos of the graduation this spring where President Bush was almost tackled? :)
One of the most touching images EVER.......
One of the most amazing moments..........EVER!
I LOVE this man!
These are actually from your album on Cow's server
Thank you, Lord, for these two good men!
What this dying world could use
Is a willing man of God
Who dares to go against the grain
And work without applause
A man who'll raise the shield of faith
Protecting what is pure
Whose love is tough and gentle
A man whose word is sure
God doesn't need an orator
Who knows just what to say
He doesn't need authorities
To reason Him away
He doesn't need an army
To guarantee a win
He just needs a few good men
Men full of compassion
Who laugh and love and cry
Men who face eternity
And aren't afraid to die
Men who'll fight for freedom
And honor once again
He just needs a few good men
He calls the broken derelict
Whose life has been renewed
He calls the one who has the strength
To stand up for the truth
Enlistment lines are open
And He wants you to come in
He just needs a few good men
Men full of compassion
Who laugh and love and cry
Men who face eternity
And aren't afraid to die
Men who'll fight for freedom
And honor once again
He just needs a few good men
