Rush got it right on the money. GOP needs to be out front saying things like if you vote the Dems in power we will lose the war in Iraq. We will pull the troops out. Terrorists will regather their strength. We will not be able to listen to Al-Qaeda phone calls adequately. We will be attacked again because we will embolden the enemy. The Dems brought it on themselves put them on the defensive I would love to hear how they explain their positon of defeatism.

Taking off the gloves? Gee....I thought that's why the GOP/Bush have been trying so hard to buy friends over the last six years by spending our money like drunken sailors?
Rush, as usual, is acting his predictable pre-election role as loyal soldier for his GOP masters. He can be depended on to be in lock-step at election time, even if the candidate is Guiliani or McCain.

Rush then ripped into the GOP, saying: "It's time for the Republicans to fight back. This is getting absurd. This constantly being on the defense or waiting for the next shoe to drop [has to stop]" he said. I agree but I have no hope that the GOP even knows how to fight. Hastert is not a street fighter. It's going to be up to us...the rank and file base to get energized and build some enthusiasm for the GOP.

Let the Democrats resign. Let Nancy Pelosi resign. I could make a case that she should resign, immediately. The basis is that the Dems apparently knew about the Foley communications as long as a year ago, and have been sitting on it until the 2006 elections. Foley is a creep, but he's now gone. Dems who sat on this story for political purposes, thereby endangering other pages working in the House, are no less "creepy," and many of them should go.
On another note, it's appalling that Gerry Studds had sex with an underage page, and while censured by the House, was re-elected to his congressional position for six more terms.

A gay perv in Congress has ZERO to do with 06 elections.
The Republicans/Conservatives who love and protect this country vs the Commie Vampires who don't, never have and never will?
Easy, easy, choice.

The trouble is the Republicans would not know how to put on the gloves if they could find them.
Going back to 1995. Whenever the GOP tried to set the record straight on the downright lies the Rats and the Drive By Media told, they would fold or not even try after taking heat from the above mentioned. Something about Washington that makes people that should be able to fight back with facts and be aggressive about into wussies.
The GOP will have to learn if they want to be effective with people like the GOP rank and file out here, they will need to get to a point where they are in the faces of the Rats and the Media. They do this by calling out those that lie in the media and the Rat party and by calling them what they are: Liars.

"It's time for the Republicans to fight back and, led by Hastert, point out how the Democrats continue to avoid the real issues of importance . . . and are trying to distract the American people from what essentially is a non-existent agenda on the part of the Democrats to deal with things that really, really matter." Sorry, but hitting on kids is an important issue. We're not the dems - and kids are more than lame mantras on our side -- if Hasterd knew, and covered, he needs to resign. If not, he needs to create systems that will stop this type of abuse from happening in the future. Then, and only then can we ethically "move on"...

Talking about the 300,000,000th American? My unborn son is expected to be born on or about 10/17/06. If he is the 300,000,000th American, what do I win?

You go Rush!
The proper response for the GOP to this scandal should be--"Hey, when we found out that this guy was a sleaze, we booted him. Ask the Dems how outraged they were when Gary Studds got caught. Or Barney Frank. Or Mel Reynolds--who Clinton pardoned!"

Rush is spot on. The media is helping the Dems along with jackasses like Washington times on the conservative side.
Rush is right that Dems will overplay it as usual and blow it all on themselves.

If the GOP stays in crouch mode through Election Day, they will deserve to get their rear end handed to them. The only way to win is to fight back - hard.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stay the course!!!!!!!!!!
We just can't abandon the "New Tone in Washington" established by the Bush Administration at this crucial moment, when its needed soooooooooo much.
Besides, its worked soooooooooooo well up to now.
I recommend popcorn and a movie for Democratic Party members.
Any suggestions?

We all can help, write a hard hitting letter to the editor of your local paper. Get the vote out as much as you can. Get the word out about the how bad it will be under the "Rats" control. Tell people about how they have no plan, all they can do is sling mud. Let's Roll!!!
