If the assertion is "Well, the Democrats have more of a history for sexual misconduct!", I don't believe that's going to play well to the voters. What Foley did was disgusting. I don't think we should dumb down our standards to the Dem's standards.
And let's consider that Hastert has NOT handled this well. Some of his statements leave a lot to be desired in regards to the Foley matter.

The Rats are using this incident to show "hypocrisy" in the GOP. We are showing the real hypocrisy at play.
And they missed this one. It was part major sex scandal but in the early 1960s, such things weren't talked about in public like they were later.

There's obviously a problem or Foley wouldn't have resigned, but as noted the tone is so different.
It would seem pretty easy to fake both emails and IMs, but closer scrutiny should be able to determine their validity.

We need a sperate article on how the MSM dealt with these cases - and the many, many more scandals they swept under the table when a dem was involved.
