Interesting list, but what's this have to do with the upcoming election?

If the assertion is "Well, the Democrats have more of a history for sexual misconduct!", I don't believe that's going to play well to the voters. What Foley did was disgusting. I don't think we should dumb down our standards to the Dem's standards.

And let's consider that Hastert has NOT handled this well. Some of his statements leave a lot to be desired in regards to the Foley matter.

Yes. Openly gay men asking to babysit your sons on an overnight trip in the woods. Nothing to fear, even WITH the past track record of molestations in the boy scouts...

Cite examples of these bad statements.

This is a media hit. Nothing more.

Vote on the issues, like national security and impeachment. They are what Congress will be addressing in 2007 depending on which way the election goes.

Fanne Foxe, the Argentinian Firecracker, the Tidal Basin Bombshell!! Certainly the best sex scandal of the bunch, and should not only be included, but also be no. 1.

"Why the heck are we comparing the 'Pubbies to the Democrats?"

We're not.

The Rats are using this incident to show "hypocrisy" in the GOP. We are showing the real hypocrisy at play.

And they missed this one. It was part major sex scandal but in the early 1960s, such things weren't talked about in public like they were later.

You forgot the biggest one- Bill CLinton and his MANY sexual misdeeds!

You also failed to point out that the Congress was controlled by Democrats in the cases where they failed to act.

You're thinking of the Jenrette Memorial Wet Spot on the East Steps of the Capitol.

Yeah, I've been wondering if it is known that all of these missives are authentic?

There's obviously a problem or Foley wouldn't have resigned, but as noted the tone is so different.

It would seem pretty easy to fake both emails and IMs, but closer scrutiny should be able to determine their validity.

We need a sperate article on how the MSM dealt with these cases - and the many, many more scandals they swept under the table when a dem was involved.

The double standard is disgusting. Some conservative should make a list of all the things that have happened and which were examples of this biased double standard.

"...Although Jimmy Carter was a totally inept President, at least he was an honorable man when it came to upholding his wedding vows. ..."

"Yeah, but he admitted to lusting in his heart."

Jimmy kept his fantasies secret the same way Charles Carl Roberts IV kept his.

Unfortunately, Democrats being hypocrites is not "hypocrisy." Its just standard operating procedure for the Democrat party..

'Pubbies covering up for a predatory congresscritter is hypocrisy.

But I don't really see a cover-up. I see guys mindin' their own business and avoiding a charge of gay-bashing (which is what would have happened if they gone after Foley).

The worst, he said, was appearing on the stage, love-sick and completely drunk out of his mind.

Don't forget swimming in the fountain, with Fannie Fox.

Yah...the only thing Jimmah did was talk about his lusts in Playboy magazine.
