Dear Friend,
Click here to watch Jim's new ad, "Real Leadership" With his campaign struggling, Senator George Allen has gone on the attack. It's predictable, but sad that George Allen has so little in his legislative record to talk about that he's spent more of this campaign talking about Jim than about his own six years in the Senate. George Allen and his campaign have focused on "slash and burn" campaign tactics distorting Jim Webb's record of accomplishment.
Today, we are launching our new ad, "Real Leadership," to start setting the record straight. The ad features Brigadier General Clara Adams-Ender, U.S. Army, retired, Christine M. Gromek, 1984 U.S. Naval Academy Graduate, and Nancy McPherson, retired Coast Guard, YN1 Petty Officer First Class speaking out on Jim's efforts on behalf of women in the military.

The latest Mason-Dixon poll has Jim Webb tied with George Allen 43%-43%. That's a 16-point swing in our favor since July! The more people learn about Jim, the more they want to join our campaign to take back Virginia. The more folks learn about George Allen...well, we've seen what happens when people see the real George Allen.
That's why it's so critical we fight back against these attacks on Jim by George Allen's desperate campaign.
Christine Gromek said of Jim in her endorsement of him last week:
"When in a position to effect change as Secretary of the Navy, Mr. Webb opened many opportunities for women. Senator Allen, on the other hand, in the role of Governor, resisted the admittance of women to VMI. Virginia needs to be represented by a Senator who wants to serve and cares about crucial issues like the U.S.'s interpretation of the Geneva Convention, the war in Iraq, health care, and our constitutional system of checks and balances." Those are the facts, and we need to make sure Virginians know them.

As Jim says at the end of the ad, "It's easy to just take shots at people. It's harder to actually change things." You can help us change things here in Virginia. It's time for Virginia to have a real leader in the U.S. Senate. So please take a moment to watch the ad, and then help us spread the word. Forward this message to everyone you know.
Sincerely,
Jessica Vanden Berg Campaign Manager Webb for Senate
I absolutely adore the staggering hypocrisy of the second to last graph in this e-mail. Mr. Webb asserts that "it's easy just to take shots at people."
My word, that's been the sum and substance of his entire campaign.
Putz.
Webb's women of endorsement:
1 academy graduate.
1 DNC donor.
1 paid Webb staffer.
At least Webb found his "voice." After Allen's 2 minute speech the other night, Webb, even though he'd promised a teleconference said "I have nothing to say."
Nothing.
The Senator on the other hand is back on the road discussing issues and his record.
Rumor has it that Webb's fundraising success is all bluster. Otherwise why would he be willing to appear in Virginia with Hillary, in an event that raised only $25,000 (or maybe $35K)?
He still has not apologized for his anti-Semitic campaign literature.
Webb will apologize when Kerry releases his military records.
Yeah, and I'll have a new ice rink to skate on because you-know-where will have frozen over.
>Senator George Allen has gone on the attack.<
Talk about darned if you do, darned if you don't. Allen apologizes, and he gets attacked. Allen reacts to criticism aggressively, and he's attacked.
'zactly.
Yesterday Mac (head up his backside) Watson was hyperventilating about Allen's "I caused some of this myself" statement.
I stayed on hold for almost half-an-hour trying to point out to Watson that if Allen hadn't said that, Watson would be whining about the "no-apology."
In fact, I had a whole long list of areas where Watson needed to be corrected. But I couldn't hold any longer.
I hate freaking macacas
Maybe we should rename him
'Macaca' Watson.
Sheesh, he annoys me to no end.
25 - 35 K? Thats an admission that the campaign is in the tank!
DemocRATs get real nervous when the polls show that the race is dead even or within the margin of error because they know the polls are already skewed in their favor.
"DemocRATs get real nervous when the polls show that the race is dead even or within the margin of error because they know the polls are already skewed in their favor.
You got that right! The Dems will be going for the jugular in the next week or so.
Watch on election day the rats "exit polls" will have Webb at 60% or something ridiculous like that.
I'm working the polls and I know it will be crazy funny watching them all day.
