The logical response is for another teacher to do EXACTLY as this first teacher did, but also divide the class into three sections so Muslims, Jews and Christians are all represented. That way three different sets of prayers and memorizations from the Koran, Torah and New Testament can all be a part of this class project. Then let's see what happens if someone tries to stop it in the courts.

that is the point. if the SCOTUS strikes this down, then its also illegal for a school to have students portray Mary and Joseph, or Moses.

now that said - we all know the problem here - the schools are dominated by the left, and as such will screen out judeo-christian topics, but actively advance islamic ones. But I don't know what the court can really do about that - either this type of representation violates the separation of church and state, or it doesn't (as ruled). They can't render a decision that says it only violates separation if its about Islam.

That was the first thought that popped in my mind. Actually to just have Christian roles was my first thought but your proposal is perfect. By including all it is multi-denominational and much harder to attack. The libs on the court were content with their hypocrisy while the conservatives see this as a weapon against the ACLU's anti-christian slant. Granted that is somewhat of a rosy view but it would seem to be a fair read of the USSC's action.

No good, anything that promotes islamic teachings in public schools is bad for America.

It's heart breaking to see my country die right before my very eyes from self-inflicted wounds. The America of today has no resemblance to the America I grew up in, fought for, and loved. Men like President Bush are considered as "conservatives" today, but JFK and Harry Truman were more conservative than Bush. Those two men the President appointed to the Supreme Court are moderates, and that Court still leans to the left. It feels very much like the fight to maintain traditional American morals and values has ended, in defeat.

Exactly. I'd love to see what the reaction of Muslims forced to recite the Amidah and Lord's Prayer (or, just to turn the screws a bit more, one of the variants of the Sinner's Prayer) would be.

That won't happen of course--multiculturalism is a one-way street away from Western culture and Christianity.
