I reserve my right to exercise my obligation to vote as many times as necessary, Foley be damned.

General Republican gutlessness/spinelessness/RINO-ness might cause some to stay home, but not this Foley thing.

How will this jerk keep people from voting?

Democrats are having a wet dream that Christian Conservatives will get disgusted and jump ship. Not going to happen. They will be ticked off at FOLEY and the rest is business as usual. The ONLY area I think it will be an issue is in his district.

I live in the S.F. Bay Area, where my vote is next to meaningless. That being said, I never miss an election. There are close to 200,000 of our country's finest sitting in desert hellholes fighting for my and my family's asses. I think I owe it to them.

Thanks for this input. My sense of it is too that this is ivory tower-ism from the elite media that is projecting its own hopes and dreams on this election, as they've been doing for the last 2 years. I don't really see real people allowing this to impact their vote. I think most of us see too much else at stake.

I will vote: my wife will vote.

Should I vote for the party that is opposed to pedophilia and has, maybe, a member or two who isn't; or should I vote for the Party that supports perversions of all kinds including pedophilia (NAMBLA, anyone? ACLU?), and maybe has a member or two who doesn't??

Tough choice! Hmm. What to do; what to do?

You said -- "Even though I've been on FR for about 6 years, I just don't know all the in's and out's of things. When you say active threads, what do you mean and how do I re-post this there?"

Well, try posting an article that specifically talks about that issue (those GOP strategists) and then have comments regarding what was said in that article. I thinnk it goes better that way, rather than a "vanity post" (just your own opionion heading up the posting).

Try that...

Regards,
Star Traveler

Teach 'em lessons. Only do it in the primaries. I've had to hold my nose to vote a lot over the years, but I did it.

Not only will I vote, I'll do everything I can to convince others to vote and I'll do everything possible to get Joe Negron elected. It would be sweeeet revenge to see Pelosi's stretched out face sobbing to MSNBC.

Would I fail to exercise my franchise because of a slimeball politician? If that was the deciding factor, when would I ever vote?

I am a Christian, conservative and Republican working wife and mother.

I cannot NOT vote; I can't help but think about the brave men and women who have fought and sacrificed for our country, in order the preserve our freedoms, one of the most importantly- to VOTE.

I won't vote for Mark Foley. But I will vote. I'm in New Jersey, anyway, so I'm voting for Kean and Ferguson.
