You DU's want to roast Hastert for this!!!!!No problem. You can have him if we can reindict William Jefferson Clinton. Specifically for:
----Lying under oath, dozens of times in fact.
----Not going after OBL after the WTC attack in '93.
----Allowing unions to first manipulate, then bankrupt companies, cities and government.
----Corporate scandals at Enron and Worldcomm.
----The Whitewater fiasco.
and MOST importantly:
----Being most responsible for the murder of 3,000 of our citizens on 9/11/01.

Take Dennis, just give us Bubba and maybe you'll get a clue and SHUT THE HELL UP once and for all!!!!!

The Taliban Democrats? They scare the hell out of me. It's this simple: we need to turn out on Election Day, hold our collective noses, and vote for the Republicans. If the Democrats take over both Houses, the terrorist attacks that will follow will make 9/11 pale by comparison. That may sound hysterical, but listen to Nancy Pelosi for five minutes.

That's the beauty of Soros' plan. As evidenced by several of the posts above we (Conservatives) eat our own. Republicans, not Dems, will demand that Hastert resign. A month before a critical election---mind boggling!

Could it be that some conservatives are leveraging the election against Rep. leadership because that's all they have? I don't know this to be true. It's just a question.

And again, a very good question. My answer would be, yes, it's quite possible. That's what's so frustrating about this whole thing. I want some stronger, more conservative, more kick-ass leadership in the party too. But, and it just KILLS me to say this, now is not the time. I said the party has my loyalty for the next five weeks, but that doesn't mean I am not gritting my teeth while I am giving it. After the election, anything goes.

Like I said, it was only an idea and I actually like Hasert, it's just that I'm trying to think of anything good that can come out of that.

I don't want to think about having to sit through horrid and unsubtainiated impeachment hearings if we did have a Sp. pelosi.

"So now we have him arranging to meet a teen."

I don't know if I am allowed to use curse words on FR and I don't normally swear except in my shop. But I need to say the sole purpose of that little
troll is to get young men into acting out sexually. Of course he meets with teens, as many as he can.

His going to treatment is merely to escape the heat when the full story of his acting out becomes known. Dennis Hastert should get a gun and go to the treatment center and administer a fast cure. Bush should sign the pardon before Dennis pulls the trigger.

I had no idea the MSM was allowed to dictate who is in the Congress! I am sure we can find where they called for Barney Frank, Teddy Kennedy, and Bill Clinton to resign in the archives right?????

"the kid logs these IMs, holds them for years, his parents likely knew the contents, somehow they get plugged into the DNC and ABC - so Hastert should resign?"

Who's to say that the kid actually wrote the IM's?...Could it be possible that the young page went to a much older person where the page worked, showed him the first e-mail and the much older adult lured Foley into the conversation?....maybe hoping they could nail him then but to no avail?....just thinking out loud here I guess.

" I haven't visited their website in a long time, IMO, this editorial is a desperate stunt for attention and affection from the MSM"

washingtontimes.com -- WashTime made a big mistake then they told JR "exerpt and link only". Then they started charging for use of full articles. As if that many people wanted their stuff. I used to, now I rarely go there. Heck, even Drudge has to exerpt and he can afford to pay for it. But then unWashedTimes wants you to go through a whole application form.

Drudge is a platform for news headlines. 90% of them are liberal slanted

I listen to Drudge's radio program 6:30 - 10 pm Sundays
and on the live Drudge thread on FR. What he says doesn't match up with you comments.
He usually has on as guests Bill Gertz, John Fund or Ann Coulter.

I know how you feel. I'm not happy about the timing either, yet the Dems repeatedly ignore the mystery of goodness: things are not what they seem. Every single time Dems reach down to grab the fish out of the pond they miss. I just think that things are not what they appear and that it will work to the advantage of certain Republicans. I think George W. Bush has a grand strategist at work. This strategist is not Karl Rove, it's the Christian God. Clinton will always be tormented because the grand strategist used his presidency as an example of a president who was not serious and specialized in silliness, in contrast to George W. Bush who was picked to fill a special role at a special time. This battle of good and evil is much more serious than most think or admit. I believe in a grand strategist who knows how to beat the fiercest evil using a lovely and innocent baby in a cradle.

I was talking about his website not his radio program. The vast majority of political stories on his website are liberally slanted void of all the facts. His website is a platform for the left because he carries their words much more than the rights.

So, shall we assume you have all the facts of this story? The rest of us would surely love to hear them becasue right now, all we've got is some "overly friendly" emails, unverified IMs that are three years old and a bunch of people blaming the house leadership for not throwing Foley overboard for a non-crime.

Uh....you're treating them as if they were 100% legitimate as are many others. So I guess ABC has considerable power over you.

As I mentioned earlier, Foley is in a no-win situation. We have a page who was made uncomfortable by an overly friendly series of emails. We have one page suggesting that everyone was warned about Foley and we have several others who claim that wasn't true. We have ABC News printing a salacious IM conversation that supposedly happened three years ago without any verification. Foley is toast no matter what he does.

LOL and I'm sure a similar thought passed through his mind. BTW, ABC news website has a video of Foley praising a 2002 graduating class of pages with tears in his eyes -- actually suggesting that they honor their families who sent them to become pages.
