Of course it is... Like every story that gets into the media these days, it is calculated, timed and written to do the most damage to the GOP.

If Foley were a Democrat, he would be a hero and Democrats would be running to his aid.

This story has obviously destroyed Foley's professional career. It might inflict wider damage on the GOP. But if it turns out that political partisans were behind a carefully-timed disclosure campaign, it's not hard to imagine a serious backlash on the Democrats.

That's why it's GOOD that Hastert sent the request for an investigation to the AG. The Dems may have thought this would be a cake-walk, but they might better be careful what they wish for.

I am sure you have noticed that FR has been all over this Foley thing...probably about 50 threads by now.

We have the ones with the supposed duplicate e-mails that don't match...and the Clarice Feldman articles that are very informative.

If YOU get on this....I know you can really help...are you gonna see if Sissy Chrissy wets his britches on Hairball today????

There is just too many links to Soros and others, like the legal group representing Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame.

Please stay on it..

The Lamestream media will milk this for all it's worth. If this was a Dhimmicrat, this news would already be on page 14.

The drip, drip, drip you mention is the blood of dims and media as they die from a thousand cuts, as this scandal blows back on their complicity in covering up evidence of a possible Federal Crime!

The latest ABC story headlines that the "emails" were suggesting they meet. Of course they use the word "email" because they have already established that Hastert knew about "emails". But they are lying, it is the IM's that were damning, not the emails.

I am convinced that NONE of this about Foley would have made the media unless it was an election year. What Foley is accused of doing (remember that under our Constitution and Bill of Rights, we are presumed innocent until proven otherwise), is reprehensible. So far no evidence that it extended beyond computers. Nothing like Barney Franks and his contemporary Gary Stubbs.

I am also convinced that Brian Ross is an enemy and in the pockets of George Soros and his America-hating machine

I've seen some conflicting stories as to which Foley - is it Mark Foley (D) or Tom Foley (R)?

I would bet the MSM thought Foley would come out and deny everything and then they could really tie the Republicans to the situation but now since Foley quit and the Republicans have passed it to the Justice Department in about a week the MSM will just appear to be talking to themselves as usual.

If they are, they didn't count on the republicans acting quickly to dump Foley.

Every NEW revelation about Foley just reminds people that he is the FORMER congressman, because the republicans act when evidence is presented, unlike the democrats, who have several people under a dark cloud and they still serve and are running for re-election.

But the democrats did manage to get Mckinney out in a primary.....

But if it turns out that political partisans were behind a carefully-timed disclosure campaign, it's not hard to imagine a serious backlash on the Democrats.

of course it was RATs behind the deal. But if the authors think the SHeeple voters will clobber for us, they can think again. The Xlintons' are evidence that the RATs can and will practice the politics of destruction ad infinitum.

Conclusion: Our guys need to be spotless conservatives...and if we don't clean house ourselves...it's all over.

This is SOP. Just at recent California elections.

1. Barbara Boxer dumped a story in the final days of the 1992 election that Bruce Hershenson visited a strip club. Boxer won and became Senator.

2. Barbara Boxer dumped a story in the final days of the 1998 election that Matt Fong had contributed money to an anti-gay group. Fong was winning but ended up losing the election.

3. Gray Davis supporters orchestrated a bogus lawsuit against the company of challenger Bill Simon. The trial was fast-tracked to reach a guilty verdict before the election. Simon lost the election, but the conviction was overturned on appeal a few months later.

4. Arnold Schwarzenegger was attacked by the LA Times during the 2003 recall election about groping women on movie sets. He still won.

Of course the dems don't really care what Foley did, it is all about "GOTCHA". Their timing for release of this info is pure politics. Shame on them, and shame on Foley. Hastert finally stood in their faces and said, "Let's investigate". Good for him.

"Ironically, Foley, who is 52 and single, could be found to have violated a law that he helped to write as co-chairman of the Congressional Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus."
