This may be off-point but I just returned from London. On the way to the airport, there were at least three huge billboards on the highway (M4?) that read, "Has anything good ever come from America?". There was no credit on the billboard. I came very close to tears although the cab driver didn't notice.

I guess Great Britain has chosen sides on the war with Fascism.

Joh 1:45-46 GNB
(45) Philip found Nathanael and told him, "We have found the one whom Moses wrote about in the book of the Law and whom the prophets also wrote about. He is Jesus son of Joseph, from Nazareth."
(46) "Can anything good come from Nazareth?" Nathanael asked. "Come and see," answered Philip.

Shouldn't we try to understand the rock-throwers? Find out what their grievances are and establish a dialouge? The police action seems so unilateral...

;-)

Before you all get you hair off about this.

It's a campaign for a new TV show, yet to be aired, highlighting the good and bad of American Television that has landed on our shores.

That's all.

It only took 50 odd years for the Brits to forget the blood, sweat and treasure America spent to keep that nation free. The sad thing is that if they were attacked in a major way we would come to their aid again, in spite of their hate.

They weren't saying that back when the "Yanks" were coming from America during WWII to rescue their butts, but the very best of the UK left there back in the 1600's and 1700's and came TO America. Dry your tears. The billboard should have read "Has anything good ever come from Islamic countries?" - but the British may possibly be just too, too PC to say that. They're still mad at us about the Revolution.

Don't let a few mouth breathing imbeciles sour you on the entirety of the British people. They have their left wing just like we do. They also have some good and strong conservatives who believe in the same things we do. Some of the latter post here and I am greatly glad for their presence. They stand as proof that reason and goodness hasn't died in England.

Believe it or not, there's even good and decent people in France who stand with us. They may be hard to find, but they do exist.

It's true that we don't have billboards like that in the USA. BTW, has anyone in England answered truthfully to that in this thread so far?

Here's some more factual information.

As you probably know, the recent violence followed the kidnapping of three Israeli soldiers, one in Gaza and two in southern Lebanon. Which of the following statements comes closer to your own view?

Some people say the Israelis have brought the present violence on themselves by refusing to withdraw behind their original borders and by taking over Palestinian land in the West Bank. Do you think the Israelis have, to any extent, brought the present violence on themselves?

Yes, there would be fewer attacks and a real chance for peace if Israel withdrew behind its original borders

No, the opponents of Israel will always attack Israel and try to destroy it, no matter where its borders are

I don't think they were complaining during the Lend/Lease program in WWII.

Any fool with a bit of money can put up such billboards, but I doubt that reflects the views of the majority of the British people.

You need to remind the sobs that put up that billboard that if it had not been for America, the ones living in Britian that were not made into lampshades and soap for washing Goring's ass would be speaking German today.
