Democrat leaders knew drunken Kennedy drove off bridge, left girl to die, and paid off family

NOTE: Mark Foley should have resigned earlier and should be prosecuted to the full extend of the law.

==========================================================

GREAT BACKGROUND IS HERE

- Farrar thrust himself through the open window and into the car. Looking up, he found the body of a young woman. Her head was cocked back, her face pressed into the footwell. Both hands gripped the front edge of the back seat to hold herself in conformity with its upholstered contours. It was not the position assumed by a person knocked unconscious by the impact of a crash, Farrar said. "If she had been dead or unconscious, she would have been prone, sinking to the bottom or floating on top. She definitely was holding herself in a position to avail herself of the last remaining air that had to be trapped in the car." - Farrar took hold of the woman's thigh, and as soon as he touched the body he knew she was dead; the flesh in his hand was hard as wood. "Instead of life-saving, I realized I was now evidence-gathering," Farrar said. "Because I was the only person who would be able to observe this situation, it behooved me to pay attention to what I saw underwater to be able to report it."

==========================

In the furor over the disgraced GOP congressman Mark Foley, let's go back in time, shall we? Don't you just love the headline that GOP leaders knew of some Foley email in late 2005?

It was July 19, 1969 when the drunken Ted Kennedy, possessing no current drivers license, drove his Oldsmobile off the bridge, ran away like a coward, and left Mary Jo Kopechne to suffocate when the oxygen ran out in her air pocket.

The Democrat leaders at the time were Senate Majority Leader Mike Mansfield of Montana and Speaker of the House John McCormack of Boston, Mass.

There is no doubt they knew what happened. We didn't have email in those days. Kennedy did not send an email to Mary Jo. He killed her. He did no jail time. There was a coverup. He paid off the family.

Republican Mark Foley is gone, albeit not quickly enough, because our side won't stand for that kind of behavior. The Democrats, on the other hand, have allowed a killer to remain as a leading senator for over 40 years.

The smartest thing Foley could have done was to immediately switch parties. The gay fascists would have defended him and called this drama a witch hunt. He could have probably even stayed in office if he drove a page off a bridge and kept his body and $90,000 bribe money in his freezer.

Just as we watched the drunken failed lifeguard killer lead the way on complaints of waterboarding, it would be so fitting for Barney Frank to lead an investigation of Foley's activities. Maybe Nancy Pelosi could lead an investigation of plastic surgeons who ruin their patients' faces.

Don't forget that Kennedy got expelled out of Harvard for having someone take his Spanish exam (how ironic).

And the wild night with his nephew in 1991.

Why Mass. keeps electing this scumbag is beyond me. He'll have served 50 years in the Senate when his next term (yes, he'll be re-elected, unfortunately) expires in 2012. 50 MOFO YEARS!

When will one elected Republican dare to suggest that it is not too late for a killer to resign?

DFU SONG: Surrey with the Fringe on Top (Ted Kennedy, happy Chappaquiddick anniversary)

MIDI - SURREY WITH THE FRINGE ON TOP (scroll to "From Oklahoma")

Mary Jo, come for a drive with me
With the wind in our hair we'll feel free
I have all the power of two hundred horses
We will have a fun time, you will see

Fords and Cads and Jags better scurry
'Cause I'll really be in a hurry
'Cause I'll really be in a hurry in my Oldsmobile

You are making my dingy quiver
I am hoping you will deliver
I know a nice place by a river where I'll cop a feel

It's automatic and the engine sure purrs
It has air for summer weather
And if I am naked while I fool around
My butt sometimes sticks to the leather

Mary Jo, you're cute as a model
Will you pass one more Chevas bottle
You'll see when I step on the throttle it will be surreal
It is always an adventure in my hot Oldsmobile

I've a technique I haven't varied
Let us just pretend I'm not married
Let us just pretend I'm not married in this Oldsmobile

I know sometimes I am conniving
My friend just took my test for diving
But I swear that I'm fit for driving so it's no big deal

It's automatic and the engine sure purrs
It has air for summer weather
And if I am naked while I fool around
My butt sometimes sticks to the leather

Mary Jo, you're cute as a model
Will you pass one more Chevas bottle
You'll see when I step on the throttle it will be surreal
It is always an adventure in my hot Oldsmobile

When we hit the road, if it's raining
There will be no need for complaining
My brakes I've always been maintaining in my Oldsmobile

It's well known that I hold my liquor
Most officials get drunk much quicker
There's a barf bag if I get sicker after that big meal

It's automatic and the engine sure purrs
It has air for summer weather
And if I am naked while I fool around
My butt sometimes sticks to the leather

Mary Jo, you're cute as a model
Will you pass one more Chevas bottle
You'll see when I step on the throttle it will be surreal
It is always an adventure in my hot Oldsmobile

An adult should NEVER engage in any kind of sexual repartee or innuendo with minors. Nothing excuses it, even if the minor starts the discussion, the adult should end it by walking away.

wrong. Based on the emails alone and he should NOT have been forced to resign. It is only because you know (or we think we know) what's in those IMs and with 20-20 hindsight you say that. The leadership did nothing wrong here I can see.

BWAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA -- a classic from lib Margaret Carlson in TIME in 1989 re Barney Frank and male prostitute Gobie, who operated out of Barney's apartment --

Massachusetts Republicans have jumped on the Frank affair, and the latest poll shows that only 45% of the Congressman's constituents still look on him favorably -- a blow but not necessarily a defeat,

Drudge says there are 4 articles in tomorrow's New York Times.

Only 4? You would think that this would be all that they would talk about.

I know I am going to get flamed here, but two wrongs do not make a right. And the situation here is about a minor, to boot.

Why did the Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself...) endanger other youths by waiting MONTHS before revealing this information?

We know what they knew, and when they knew it...

You have educators pushing sex positive teaching who seek the same openess with their students.

From the IM transcript that Drudge just read on his show, I haven't heard him ask the boy if he could watch him masturbate or meet "in private" or anything of the sort.

Could they discuss The Contest episode of Seinfeld?

You've convinced me. Whatever Foley might have done should definitely be excused because of what Kennedy got away with. Brilliant.

I don't see anything in the IMs (haven't seen everything) to see any indication of solitication for sex. Just sex talk.

What is that? Corrupting a minor? Isn't HBO and MTV guilty of the same thing?

To "consent" to sex means agreeing to have sex.

And any requests for nude photos (or nude photos sent to the aid) would have to be to/from someone 18 or older, regardless of the age of consent.

But all I've heard about was an email that asked for "pictures" (was it with his shirt off? Haven't seen specifics).

So what crimes are alleged? Searching his computers is fishing for evidence of a crime before a crime has been accused.

Yellow journalism and a show trial in the media. Ah yes, it is an October Surprise. And the left is trying to paint the GOP with a broad brush "what did they know and when did they know it".

Just asking for the same standard to be applied. Will you call for Kennedy to be a man and step down?
