He has been so persistant, relentless, and tenacious with this campaign- and while I know God knows, I can only hope Coop knows how freaken' much I appreciate all he's done to move this forward at FR. (Marines. Somebody's gotta love 'em. I volunteered.)

You need to double the attendance to about 800-900. The 550 folding chairs on the floor were just about filled. There were also about 300-400 people in the arena seats and milling about the back part of the floor.

I enjoyed my visit to Johnstown. Took the ride up the Incline and had a quick lunch before the rally.
Folks were pretty friendly. I stood out front holding the 12 foot high Boot Murtha banner for most of the rally. The wind kept trying to blow it over so I volunteered to man it. Over a thousand cars passed by in the three hours or so I stood there holding the sign with one hand and waving with the other. I got one middle finger, one thumbs down and a couple other negative gestures. However, the sign got a good amount of smiles, waves, thumbs up and horn honks. Much more so than what I expected.

You were definitely missed. Several speakers even asked where you were.
It was great to see John Wrobleski in person, after hearing him on Mark's show. I hope someone recorded his speech--it was excellent.

Isn't it funny that when you see B.J. he always has one hand or both on his chest and when you see our beautiful President, his pictures always shows open arms reaching out. They say, body language says it all and I agree...........

Great news! Thanks for the info. USS Alaska is reporting 1200-1500 in attendance. Either figure dwarfs Murtha's rally yesterday.

I'm glad to hear that there were that many people there. We really outdid the Murtha-ites.
Are you back in D.C. already?
To: freema
I want 500 words or more ; )
A picture is worth a thousand words.:-) I'll try to get some up if people would stop calling me.
To: RedRover
Hope you can do something to support our side. *snicker* I forgot to check to see if she was on our media list.
It was great!

Sigh.
I guess it was not meant to be.
I'm glad there was such a great turn out. I really did feel bad.
WE shall meet soon, my friend. RR?
Oh, sorry, wrong show.
To: rightwingintelligentsia
Yep, back home. It wasn't too long a ride.

I did my estimate about 2:15. People were still arriving. I didn't do an estimate after. I was impressed that the crowd stayed for the entire program. Very few people left early.

Whoo! It was fun :) Except for being absolutely exhausted, I had a great time. I love being in DC and being able to go to these things.

A few photos from the rally.
The entrance to the Arena, at about 1:00 PM. Already a fair number of people milling around.
A pathetic group of Moonbats lined up across the street. They were joined by more later, but they were all gone by the time we left.
The very moving little memorial Gregg Garvey had set up near the stage as a tribute to his son Justin and other fallen servicemen.

5:30. Sorry we couldn't stick around.
