Today, in Johnstown, BOOT MURTHA!!
For those getting this as first ping.. this was the Boot Murtha Rally held in Johnstown PA(Murtha's home) this past Sunday. Close to a thousand patriots had a rock concert, had wonderful speakers [includind David Bremmer, Todds(Let's Roll) Dad] It was put on by Vets for Truth but FR participated as well as locals, Rolling Thunder, Protest Warriors.
It was time well spent with new & old friends for a GOOD CAUSE.
I have NOT put up all the pix I had. If you want something cropped out, changed etc. Let me know & I will do it for you.
There were a LOT of great kids at the rally with their parents. Here is a pix of just one.. don't know her name but this is at the end of the LONG rally & she is still happy & smiling.
sorry if I double pinged you.. combining a couple lists I have. My pix start about 130 but there are a lot of contributions from others & links to more pix.
Dolly, thanks! The pics and updates are very much appreciated! Sorry I couldn't be there. Hubby and I drove from Fla to DC rally for troops so couldn't make second trip to Pa. Glad so many people attended.
Thanks for the ping, Dolly. This will be great to read tonight.
Great pics, Dolly. Thanks for all your hard work and ping anytime you've got more. :-)
hey you! come over here and see where I went this past Sunday with some other freepers.
A picture really is worth 10,000 words. And that says it all. But I forget who said that! It was a long, long time ago.)
you are at post 169... 2nd pix. I think it is a good pix of you. When I get time I will pull you out alone & see what I can do with it
Whoa.. where are you in ohio? near Cleveland/akron. Freepmail me if you have time & aren't too far..
Thanks, Freema. I wouldn't have seen that article otherwise.
I saw the hockey boards in one of the picks then noticed the whole thing was in Johnstown. Which of course was "renamed" Charlestown for the best damn hockey movie ever. It would be really cool to stand on that ice.
Your photos really captured the event, DollyCali! Thanks for your hard work!

I should clarify that the Army jacket mentioned in the article was not given to me by a veteran as a direct result of volunteering at Walter Reed, nor did I make this claim to the reporter, who inferred it from remarks made by others standing nearby.
Thanks for these additional pics... swiping for BootMurtha.com!!
GREAT pictures Dolli!! (I'm so jealous!!) ;-)
Sounds like everyone had fun...
Like the pic of Three Mile Island...
Only thing is that I kinda wish there were FReeper actions over in the upper Midwest...8^)
Well, on my way out for now. Mass is in a half-hour.
Thanks, that is why I have to go place to FReep. Before the election in 2004 we had some action here but not much since.
Pookie, I wish I had taken a video (could w/my camera) of this man during the country rock concert.. he was in front of the stage dancing away flipping the seat cover up & down. He was a hoot!
