"Reid and Pelosi want an investigation...and the Rep. leadership to be put under oath."

GOOD..and then we are going to put CREW under oath, Pelosi,Reid, Biden, Moveon.org,STOPSEXPREDATORS.COM, BLOGACTIVE.com,ABC, etc.etc.etc.

We will get to the bottom(no pun intended) of the whole genesis of the 'story'!!

I got a different impression from Card...he looked nervous and defensive...and admitted he should not have been so candid with Woodford...but that's just my opinion.

For me, that's what someone telling the truth about the situation would say.  Though Andy Card is no longer Chief of Staff, I have never gotten the impression that President Bush felt that Card had failed to be loyal.  I do get that impression with Powell and Armitage, in contrast.

I'll take Andy Card's word over Bob Woodward any day of the week.

Probably. Anyone who works for PBS is gay, and Kristol is a bit too metro for my tastes, so I think we have a definitive YES !

Is that painting with too broad a brush. ? I WANT THEIR EMAIL'S AND I WANT THEM NOW !

Oh, c'mon.  You know that's an exageration!  Nine out of ten, tops.  Now, I don't want to cause problems here, but why do you you want their emails?  I assume by "them" that you mean the gay people at PBS.  Enquiring minds want to know...

(grinning, ducking and running away)

During the Ellen Degeneres "coming out" debacle several celebrities also came out to show solidarity with her.

One was Nathan Lane (of Lion King and The Producers fame).

The universal reaction was "Nathan, bubbie, we already knew.  You weren't fooling anybody." It was the funniest behind the scenes stuff I ever saw in Hollywierd and the Broadway set (I "rescued" my wife from a life on stage, but we keep up).

My problem with Ellen was not that she was gay. It was that she was only gay and no longer funny.

Thanks to Card, his big mouth may help the enemies of this administration win big in November and then we will all lose.

MacArthur had an aide that recommended that American forces not go back to the Phillipines.  That recommendation didn't make the aide correct.

Roosevelt had a cabinet member who recommended that he negotiate a peace treaty with Hitler to give him Europe and with Tojo to give the Japanese hegemony over Asia.  Thank God FDR didn't listen to the man.

Cards "recommendation" has exactly the same value.  Card's job was to think of political impact and to provide options to the President.  The decisions were, thankfully, not his.

Interesting points there. I remember last year some gay group was threatening to bring some public figures out of the closet. If Foley was a target, he certainly cooperated.

I sincerely wish that both Clintons and the whole Clinton machine would just fade away quickly. I feel sorry for Scheurer if those two get any more power than they already have. It is amazing what sort of people the Democrat party puts on pedestals and designates as Sacred Cows. I am hoping and praying that Hillary will be very surprised when she is NOT President of the United States when she wakes up the morning after the Presidential election in November of 2008. . and she will be. I look for her to disappear for her extreme makeover any day now in preparation for her coronation. We need to all pray especially for ANYONE who dares to call them on their lies.

I wouldn't hold my breath....

Republicans have a way of eating their own...and NOT fighting the battles that they should.

There are several members of the Dems that SHOULD be gone, because of wrongdoing, like Ted Kennedy, for one...but, for more recent times...the Wm. Jefferson thing...Jack Murtha...etc.

Nothing..nada, zilch...have we heard from the GOP about how/why are these candidates still running, instead of standing trial...

Exactly Sleuth! However, as we've seen many times w the Dims, what's good for them is not what they expect of Republicans (and, of course, the Pubbies constituents (unlike the Moonbats), as we've discussed here, wouldn't let them get away w it).

"If Foley was a target, he certainly cooperated."

Did he? Are we sure?

No..we are not. ABC has not released any proof that the nasty, sexual IM's are from who they say they are! Why are we believing the MSM all of a sudden? That's what I want to know.
Odds are... Mark Foley is a morally bankrupt and sad person... but the bigger story looms though! WHAT DID THE MEDIA,GEORGE SOROS, CREW, BLOGACTIVE, the dems KNOW AND WHEN DID THEY KNOW IT??!!

I said this stuff the other night when this story broke and got slammed for it by several well meaning freepers.
Now that we are over our disgust..it is time to fight back before they get away with their dirty tricks to bring down and implicate the entire GOP!!

Correct, Sir ! And now that you mention it, Juan is rumoured to k n o w the eeeeeeevill Tony Snow. It all leads back to the WH.

"I wouldn't hold my breath...."

I'm not..I am fighting back! Many are fighting back here and elsewhere. I know what you are saying, but if the Freeper's had stopped when our leaders did nothing....CBS and Dan Rather would have put Kerry in the Whitehouse...REMEMBER OUR VICTORIES!! We don't always need the congress to expose the agenda and dirty tricks coming from the left!

Here we go. I suppose they won't, but wouldn't it be lovely if the FBI also investigated ABS, Soros, CREW, et al. I totally agree w you - we need to fight back now and hard. I guess the only good thing about this is that it came out now and not Nov 1. That said - the Dims either had their Oct 'surprise come out early or have something even worse in store. Let's just hope the Pubbies have even a better surprise in store next month.

FBI Opens "Preliminary Investigation" of Foley
ABC News ^ | October 01, 2006 | Brian Ross

Posted on 10/01/2006 4:19:30 PM PDT by AntiGuv

The FBI has opened a "preliminary investigation" of disgraced former Congressman Mark Foley over the sexually explicit Internet messages he sent to congressional pages, all male high school students under the age of 18.

Agents in the FBI's Cyber Division have already begun to examine the texts of some of the messages, according to a FBI spokesperson.

Officials say the FBI and Department of Justice lawyers are trying to determine how many such e-mails were sent, how many different computers were used and whether any of the teenage victims will cooperate in the investigation.

It's possible Foley could be prosecuted under laws he helped to enact, as the co-chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children.

Two sets of sexually explicit instant messages obtained by ABC News were sent to pages beginning in 2002.

By saying he cooperated, I mean by engaging in ongoing emails with the youth. He aided in setting himself up.

As I said when this broke, I had yet to see anything Foley wrote that was that questionable and there had been no publication of the youth's emails at that time. Adding my cynic view of msm to that I was stunned to hear then that Foley was resigning - which in effect, said to the general public that he indeed had done a big NO NO.

I'm all for digging it out but even if GOP opens a can of democrat worms, it will be buried by msm.

Not sure there has ever been a planned GOP 'October Surprise'. Think about it for a minute.............(I am giving you a minute...........lol)

Most of our OCTOBER SURPRISES have really come at the hands of the DIMWITS 'September Follies'!!

It's been a tough few days for us. To get a few grins (and also a misty screen--medal of honor recipients picture) - check out the Daily Dose today. There's a great picture of our favorite couple, the medal of honor recipients and Wolfstar has some super pictures and captions of Barney (for his 6th birthday)!

DEAR DEAR..let not your heart be troubled. Since when does the MSM have a monopoly on the news? Hell, if we are to believe the 'genesis' of this story according to ABC..they went to the 'blogosphere' in of their facts....LMAO!!

If you do the Dew (true programmer fuel!) then I have feeling that you'll enjoy this web comic

http://www.the-whiteboard.com/

Go back and read through some of the old ones. He only posts, maximum, 3 days a week. He has a thing for Dew (he occassionaly makes coffe with Dew instead of water) as well as warp generators for his paintball guns. Really, it all makes sense in context...
