This all occurred while one officer was conducting a news conference 100 yards away. And they played his news conference.
The guy started saying they thought the suspect was in the area, and imediately you hear shots in the background.
The officer makes mention of the shots, then says 'there's about a dozen shots....uh....about a hundred shots...uh...I believe they may have located the suspect....
There has to be a recording of this on-line somewhere!?

That policeman was on the phone talking to John Scott of FoxNews, IIRC, when the shooting started. The video/audio might be on the FoxNews website.

MJ had it almost live...
LEOs are not DOD sniper experts.
68 target hits out of 110 shots fired is acceptable, for civilian cops.
IMHO.
Thick Florida brush, armed target partially dug-in, under a fallen oak tree.
They got the job done, and they all lived.
$O.35 x 42 spent taxpayer dollars?
Anyone who wants to complain about "that" can meet with me in person in Lakeland, Florida.
Because I sure don't want obnoxious stupid idiots bothering the family, friends and co-workers of the slain LEO, Officer Williams.
And thankfully, in this community, I am not alone.
Hundreds of thousands area residents wanted this outcome.

I have it on my computer at work. I'll load it up and post it tomorrow and ping both of you when I get it loaded. It was over in less than 10 seconds and yes... Sheriff Judd said, "We may have found him, Swat officers are firing right now, lots of shots, dozens of shots, hundreds of shots... I gotta go... bye... CLICK" (as close as I can remember).
I'm local and the slain Deputy worked my area. Needless to say, the community is shocked but grateful for the hundreds of LEO that showed up to search for this killer. He was located early in the morning and Sheriff Judd had said that by noon over 1000 officers were expected to be on location to search the area. I voted for this Sheriff when he ran for office. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd has helped the community start the healing process with his "no nonsense" approach to dealing with this criminal. I watched the local news conference where he said, "When the suspect raised his gun towards the SWAT team, it was the last thing he ever did. He was shot many... many... many... times." I like his comment, "I suspect the only reason 110 rounds was all that was fired was that's all the ammunition they had".
The funeral for Deputy Williams will probably make the national news.
