The House Leadership gets a hold of Foley emailing 16 year old male pages, in creepy conversations. They sit on it for a year. You equate this to Osama's mother psychically knowing to abort her son because 45 years later she would know he would be a terrorist.

One of the network shows, maybe Dateline or 20/20 did an expose years ago about some of the every day corruption in congress.
Members (of both parties) are continually driving home drunk as a skunk, getting pulled over, and getting escorted home with a smile. Congress controls DC's purse strings. If you arrest too many critters for DWI, they might cut the money, and there goes the police budget. So they skate on drunk driving. There were hundreds of incidents with nobody ever charged. I am betting hookers, wife beating and the like is all part of the mix as well.

One of the worst saspects of this crime is the reaction of the local politicians. They are bending over backwards to say this isn't about homosexuality. And they are all expressing compassion for Foley. Not ONE. Not a single ONE has forcefullly condemned his actions, denounced them, and urged legal action.
There is not a politician down here who is worth my vote - and that includes Gov Bush who issued a sissified response.
The responses indicate that politicians fear homosexuals about as much as they fear Islam. There isn't ONE politician with the cojones to say what ought be said.

I'm shocked and horrified that this criminal was a US Representative. He should be prosecuted.
Saying that, he did the right thing in resigning immediately. Republicans do that - Democrats hang on (remember "Cool Money" William Jefferson?)
