when he realized the klan was NOT to be a "guerrilla army to continue the war against the DYs", he (rather publicly)LEFT the group.

i should point out that EVERY EX-FReeper, who is over there on DU with the other IDIOTS/LEFTISTS/BIGOTS/HATERS, is from "the DAMNyankee coven". just think, you can "talk" with "Whiskey Papa", "cvn76", "#3fan", "jaguaretype" & a HOST of other scalawags/DAMNyankees.
NOT even ONE is a "good 'ole rebel". (that in itself should tell you something about who is a FOOL/bigot/south-HATER/nitwit and who is NOT!)

You are really gullible!
as i'm a state "election judge", i guess i shouldn't say this, but i will "PASS" on the senate race.

"Rudy" may be "a nice enough guy", but he cannot carry ANY states in dixie.

I'm not sure. As I recall, the pieds-noirs were laboring-class French who worked the ports areas in the Algerian coastal cities like Oran. I don't think they had a counterpart social grouping in Indochina, but any Viet could correct me on that. The French Empire leftovers in old Saigon were leavings of the upper crust, is my impression -- like the Cercle Sportif, a sort of French Raffles Club.
When Gen. Yamashita accepted the surrender of Singapore, he had his soldiers bring him Scotch from the bar of the Raffles Club. He sent a case of Johnnie Walker Red to Adm. Yamamoto, who celebrated his victories with a drink of it. The point being that neither man would have been permitted in the bar except to serve and bus tables, back in the day.
Oh, do you mean the 'freedom' loving South that banned Blacks from owning weapons after Reconstruction so they could not fight back against Forrest and the rest of his thugs?
Watie, why did the South institute gun control laws after Reconstruction?
stand waite is the e.e. cummings of the Southron cause. Or the Mortimer Snerd of the Southron cause, the jury is still out.
Being governor of Michigan is no stepping stone to higher office. More like being the new captain of the Titanic after she hit the iceberg. That state is in such sorry shape that no one governor will have an effect on it. Besides, there are millions of Amway vets who would sooner hang him than vote for him.
No offense, but it is fully practiced here at Free Republic as well.
These people need to get a life. Forget all the BS and think about which candidate is more likely to look out for their interests. Unless they're Dems to begin with, the only logical conclusion is to drop all their petty nonsense and vote for Allen.
except race baiting.
As soon as I heard this despicable 'n-word' attack on Sen. Allen, I whipped out my checkbook and sent him a large wad of $$$.
And I usually make it a rule never to get involved in campaigns in other states.
But when I see the weenie-sissyboy Dems ONCE AGAIN accusing a good upstanding man based on some 30 year old rumor, my blood rises to a boil.
Man I could use a drink!
I'm afraid we will all have need of one before this election
is over.
To here the Democrats, I think they stay on a drink of some kind, maybe the cool aid,.. me thinks.
"But I had hopes of Allen running well for President in 2008 but that looks gone now."
Allen has caught every fair or unfair ball of mud BOTH Democrats and Republicans have thrown at him, and will still win the election. McCain is dead on the vine, Frist who?, Gingrich is past prime time, and Giulani has divorce/abortion/immigration baggage. The way I see it, only Romney and Allen are in position to carry Conservatives, and Romney has questions, so those who write off Allen this soon need to consider we are still a year away from a full bore race.
