The Sons of Confederate Veterans are demanding that Sen. George Allen apologize for apologizing.
Allen has tried to mend fences with minorities over his use of the word "macaca," a racially-charged word, in part by saying he has regretted his infatuation with the Confederate flag.
That touched off an angry response Thursday from two leaders of the 4,000-member Confederate group, who said Allen has turned his back on them.
"We feel he's using our flag to wipe the muck from his shoes that he's now stepped in," said Frank Earnest of Virginia Beach, state division commander of the group.

Where is there any such candidate? Haley Barbour is the only conservative governor with any chance for the nomination or the presidency. I can't see anyone beating Guiliani if he wants it.
"Patricia Waring, who described herself as the wife of Allen's rugby coach in 1978 and 1979, said she overheard Allen repeatedly using the epithet during a match in 1978. She said she confronted Allen at the time, urging him not to use that word.
"I heard to my left, the N-word, and I heard it again, and I looked around and heard it again," she said. "And there was this fellow sitting on the ground. He was putting on red rugby shoes -- it is seared in my brain, believe me. And he was kind of showing off, I guess, but he was telling a story and . . . in the story was a lot of N-words."

The Treason Media only gave Allen a chance to knock HIMSELF out and he took it. Actually if he wins by at least 5% he still would be a viable candidate for VP then President later. This could be a good learning experience for him as to just how low the Treason Media will go.
But evidently she did call Chris Matthews, right?

Meanwhile, tonight, Sean Hannity is featured at a fundraiser for George Allen (who will also be on Sean's radio show this afternoon.) Somehow I think he might just survive this nonsense. :-D
The only blacks who care about this nonsense are those who would not have voted for Allen in any case. Same is true about the white folks as well.

When are these people going to quit measuring by the ME standard. Everything with them is ME ME ME. Our country is in dire need of statemen like George Allan. Whatever he said 30 years ago or whatever "Macaca" means is absolutely nothing compared to who we need in the Senate to regain some semblence of reality and help President Bush elect another conservative to the Supreme Court. Otherwise our nation is lost.

Sliming Allen now does not help your pet candidate win in 2008. Conservative better pull their heads out and focus on 2006 instead of being all hysteric about 2008 all ready. Helping the Democrats with their smear job does NOT help your candidate in 2008. The ONLY people you should be disappointed in are Democrat Machine politicians who stooped to this level of gutter politics. Past time Conservative grow a pair and fight back against the Democrat Noise Machine.
