The family of an Aberdeen Maryland serviceman killed in Iraq is asking for help against protesters trying to disrupt his funeral this Saturday.
Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class David Roddy of Aberdeen, was killed while disarming improvised explosive devices in Al Anbar Province in Iraq.
He was a sailor, a son, a husband, and a father to 3 young children. He had told his kids he would be home for Christmas.
Westboro Baptist Church, an extremist group whose web site speaks for itself (WARNING-EXTREME MATERIAL) http://www.godhatesfags.com/main/index.html will picket the funeral of Petty Officer 2nd Class David S. Roddy - at 9:15 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 30 - at St. Francis DeSails, 1450 Abingdon Rd., Abingdon, Maryland.
The family has passed word through Sean Casey at WCBM radio in Baltimore that it would appreciate that anyone who can come to the funeral with American flags please do so. They ask you not engage the protesters, simply ignore them and block them from disrupting their sons funeral.

If there's a "Rolling Thunder" or similar biker group around there, they do this a lot. Their specialty is revving up their bikes when the nuts start making noise.

I doubt that these parasites are even Christian. I can't imagine Jesus protesting at a funeral when He knows the family is in pain.
These people are not saved. They are tools of Satan, thinking they are doing God's work.

Regardless of what your political views are, protesting a the funeral of one of this country's fallen servicemen makes them (to paraphrase R. Lee Ermey) the lowest form of amphibian sh!t on this earth!!!!!
My Dad passed last week, was a veteran of WWII, and the Army sent an honor guard for the funeral. I would have personally kicked the butt of any #%$&*%#@ who dared to disrupt and dishonor his funeral.
Even though it is a bit extreme, these protestors should be sent someplace where they would be severely persecuted for voicing their opinions. You would think "Christians" would have more respect for the dead, and the ones he left behind.

On Monday, this group was supposed to protest at a funeral in Cleveland TN, and never showed up, see this tread...
Between Cleveland, the funeral home, and Chattanooga, the National cemetery, the streets were packed with people waving flags and Rolling Thunder was there in full force, even leading the processional on the 20+ mile drive.

Info is posted at the PGR website and they will be there. The last ride we did in NJ the WBC said they would be here and never showed up. Hopefully they won't come. The people in Toms River NJ came out and stood on their lawns with flags and veterans were saluting as we went by. The high school was just a wave of flags. The motorcycle police from different towns came to show their respect and support. All the surrounding towns had police there to offer help if need be. People were really out in full force to honor this soldier and I bet they will be there in MD too. God Bless this soldier and his family.

A black eye for the Baptists. They aren't Baptists, they are hard-core Democrats attempting to smear the Baptists by calling themselves that.
They are a family of lawyers, professional litigants who stage provocations for the express purpose of causing conflict where they can file a lawsuit.
I'm glad the family asked that there just be peaceful demonstrations carrying flags.
But deep down in my heart, I'd like to see a couple dozen guys with head masks beat the living crap out of this bunch of scum, then make an anonymous announcement that they were a militant Gay organization, attacking them because of their "God hates fags" rhetoric.
Now wouldn't THAT be fun.

Calling themselves a Church at all is nothing more than their way of mocking Christianity. They are the most radical leftist, anti-war, racist, and hateful group on the planet. If you think they have anything to do with Christianity, just look at their web site, and you'll see them for who they really are.
