I don't know about Dobson in specific, but I do know one of his state guys blew a chance to get some pro-Christian legislation passed because he was heavy handed in the state of Ohio. It was the guy who got the Marriage Protection amendment (Phil Burress) on the ballot. He pressed too hard on some State Senators who are friendly to his causes and torqued them off. They let some one of his pet bills die. It's only logical that if the Lt in Dobson's army didn't get scorched by being heavy handed, then Dobson must appreciate the tactics.

I am surprised to see that because Armey went after Dobson most of the people act like he attacked all Christians. I can't stand Dobson for his way of making money off that interview he did with Ted Bundy claiming it was porno that cause him to commit all of those murders. If Dobson did his research he would have realized in the first minute that he was being used by Bundy. In my opinion, Dobson spit on all of the graves of Bundy's victims just to promote his campaign against pornography.

I'm a Christian. I'm not a big fan of Dobson. IMO, he isn't discerning enough to know where to place his trust in the political world. But he is NOT a thug.

Armey compares Christians to thugs, and the Dems compare Christians to the Mullahs.

And people wonder why Christians have sat out more then one election?

The only reason they hasven't the last few years is that the bigotry, intolerance and discrimination has become too much to ignore.

What is happening? This seems so odd, unless he plans something, and these remarks will make him a hero among the leftist elite. I would say that when I think of James Dobson, I think of forceful speech. I don't consider him a "bombthrower" as O'Reilly would put it, or a thug. I stand with Dobson. Literally. It was my privilege to meet and briefly speak with Dr. Dobson when I drove through Colorado in May 2006. Dobson is no bully. He doesn't bat 1.000 in candidate picks or issues--but he strives to do so based on absolute truth and Biblical, Conservative principles. There are few more gracious, courageous and trustworthy men in this world.
