Sweet!
Some math here,
Lets say 50 vehicles pay $50 bucks to fill up at each location daily.
$2500 profit per staion, times 2100 locations.
5,250,000 times 365 days...
Almost two BILLION in lost profits, eat Hugo!
Good for 7-11. I believe the company orignated in Texas.

Big deal? They will not be making 50cents at the retail level.
How do you develop a new distribution system quickly?
We worked on 40 7-11 sites in Upstate New York circa 1980. All the paperwork was from Texas IIRC.
I can see Chavez ought to watch what he calls foreign leaders...
wow.
With oil droping now below 60, how soon till Chavez's communist utopia implodes.
So how soon can they make the change over???
Dear BladeLWS,
If 50 vehicles pay $50 each for gas at a particular gas station, that's $2500 in revenues, not in profit.
It's likely that the profit generated at a particular gas station that goes to the franchisor (like Shell, Exxon, or Citgo) is only a few pennies per gallon.
The loss to Citgo of the franchisor's profits will still add up to a significant amount of money annually, and that will be lost to Venezuela's national oil company, but I doubt it will be billions of dollars annually.
sitetest
IMO it doesn't matter at all if Hugo sells his oil a different way or to different refineries.
The point is the message was heard at 7-11. And that message will be heard at other locations that want to vend Citgo Gas.
What would you say to Citgo dropping the pirce about .25 to try ang gain customers back. I think that would intern drive the price of gas down more via competition.
No matter what this will sting a bit and of bigger importance than that sting is the fact that Americans can get together behind a good cause and get results.
Now just get the US government to do the same. I don't care if they have to buy out the contracts or just cancel them, DO IT NOW!
So they won't be selling as many giant bottles of beer and junk food. We need to reward them for this move and show them that we more than make up for the loss of the liberal vote.
Anyone know the Southland stock symbol???
Less profit tho'. He'll only get the profit on the crude, and not the crack spread too.
And here his advisors warned him Bush might shoot him for what he said... ROFL. Who cares about the US government, it is what the US consumer thinks of you. He shold have consulted with Chirac.
Same with Circle K (from August 21, 2006)
