DALLAS (AP) -- Convenience store operator 7-Eleven Inc. is dropping Venezuela-backed Citgo as its gasoline supplier at more than 2,100 locations and switching to its own brand of fuel. The gas is refined locally, not in Venezuela. Still, give the idiots the boot.

Oil may be a fungible commodity, but in the end, this will significantly reduce the overall amount of profits flowing into Hugo's pockets, IMO.

There have been rumors that Citgo is being relabled as "Petro Express".

I learned of Venezuela's connection with Citgo only a few weeks ago. I didn't want to buy Citgo gas anymore, but I felt hesitant because in our area many 7-Elevens are partnered with Citgo gas stations, and I like the combination of buying things at 7-Eleven when I buy gas.
Now I don't have to worry anymore. Awesome!

It doesn't matter where the fuel is refined when the profits are going into Hugo's pocket.

What's not so amusing is the lunatic left will call for a boycott of 7/11 because they love Hugo Chavez more than America.

Fill your tank up at 7/11 and tell them thanks for the switch! Sinclair is home based gas.

I hope the price does not go up. They are always the cheapest near South Riding, VA.

That's what I thought too. It should especially hurt them in the short term as they need to develop new distribution systems (hopefully outside the US).
