Whats more, Wal-Mart gives a large sum from its corporate coffers to liberal advocacy groups, the Capital Research Center concluded in an August 2006 review of IRS records.
The study by researcher David Hogberg, now a senior analyst at the National Center for Public Policy Research, found that of the $150 million in donations given by Wal-Mart in 2004, only $2,530 went to politically right-of-center organizations while 289 times as much went to left-of-center think tanks, a total of $732,350.

Wal-Mart should learn from Nixon:
Trying to placate Liberals gets you nothing but ridicule.

This just goes to show "APPEASING THE TERROSRSTS" Liberals/Democrats doesn't work. Being nice to the terrorists doesn't mean they will be nice to us. As Wal Mart is now figuring out....maybe, being nice and trying to by off the Liberal HATE MACHINE will not work and they will find out you can never give these guy's enough money PAYOLA to get them and the courts they have purchased off their backs.
Sincerely

They should wake up and give to the party that supports capitalism and free enterprise. Giving to the communists won't help them.

Two observations:
First, large companies always tend to support big govt types (usually democrats) because over-regulation keeps smaller businesses from being competetive.
Second, large businesses also give money to liberal causes because liberal groups use the threat of retaliation for not supporting their views far more often than conservatives (also known as a "shakedown").

Last I checked, a corporation's duty was to make profits for it's shareholders. That's pretty much where it's obligation ends.
The words "kind and benevolent" make me think of a monarchy that dispenses wealth to it's subjects. Not even remotely what Wal-Mart is or should be.
