I guess this proves once again that money doesnt buy happiness.

It's running on a crawl on ABC now, too.

"Deion came away from the experience as a born-again Christian, and was a much different person afterward."
I hoping the same for TO.
To: GraniteStateConservative
He was also regularly abused (whipped, IIRC) by his alcoholic grandmother. No picnic. It's amazing to me that he even made it to the NFL, but very sad that he never really escaped all that hell in his head.

I don't think it will be hushed up, since official reports are already released. Dallas will have to put TO on injured reserve or something akin, and this will be a bigger distraction to the team than even his past incidents. Their season is screwed yet again.
As for TO personally, hopefully this will begin a turnaround in his life, spiritually, mentally, and otherwise.
To: steveegg
This will be covered up by TO's people if it is indeed true. It's shocking he would try to take his own life. He has a great deal of emotional problems, though, so his perception of reality is probably distorted.
Hope he recovers. He has had a hard life and now that he is a star I don't think he appreciates how much he has to live for, or his full measure of self-worth.

Not sure what the league has negotiated with the union on this one. For all involved it would be best if he took the rest of the year off and got himself sorted out.

Dallas will have to put TO on injured reserve or something akin, Agreed, no way T.O. needs to be back on the field his year. Get him into a good counseling program and let him recover.
In a way this could be a huge turning point in his life. He may come out of this a completely different person, with the right counseling and help, and could actually be the football player he has the potential to be.

'Tis a little late for the hush job.
Whether it was a "natural" allergic reaction or an attempt-induced one, I hope and pray that TO recovers.

I hope the vultures around him don't cover it up. The man needs counseling and treatment. Having it be an "allergic reaction" or something like that and him not getting mental help would be the worst thing for him. I hope his real friends are there to help him get the treatment he needs.

He is so very, very lean that it would not entirely surprise me if he has become accustomed to taking a variety of "supplements" to help him build muscle mass and reduce body fat.

I guess so. They tried but the floodgates have broken open.

Ditto from this Giants fan.

It's sad, but I don't think TO has real friends. Just an entourage and hangers-on. I could be wrong and hope I am--he needs people who truly care about him now, not just his money or his fame.
To: Cyclopean Squid
Terrell needs to finally leave the closet.

A friend of mine said he can certainly understand why this happened. TO is one of the most selfish people on the planet and that suicide is the ultimate act of selfishness. Fits perfectly.

Classy comments from you rival fans.
As a 'Boyz fan I was hoping like many he could just "shut up and play ball" this season. But this goes beyond just some big talk or showboating. If true, the man has serious problems that transcend the game. We sometimes think that just because someone is immensely talented and successful they "have it all".
Who would want to be TO right now?
