The only thing that suprises me is that name "Glorial Allred" didn't
appear in the article.

When the child is in the environment of the mother's womb, she can kill the kid if she chooses. Such murder is even called heroic by an old biddy with the name of Ruth Bader Ginsburg who sits on the SCOTUS. But once the child escapes the womb, then the same morons in robes who legalized the unthinkable, passes the moral judgement that a smoker is some kind miscreant because she decided to bring the child into the world while engaging in the politically incorrect act of smoking. What a crock.

Forcing a child to breath smoke is abusive behavior.

Maybe Tammy smoked due to P.P.S.D. aka Post Primary Spouse Dysfunction. Some other side effects to a bad marriage can be pulling out of hair, pacing and staying away from home for long periods of time.

I hate the arbitrary nature of Family Court decisions, but I'm happy to see custody of a child awarded to a father for a change. Yes, even though I'm a woman. Fathers' rights are horribly abused in this country.

I don't have a problem, so long as smoking is only used as a "tie breaker" between two parents who are equally fit to have custody. Dad lives in Ohio, Mom lives in Florida- clearly a choice had to be made. It should not be a factor that indicates that a parent is unfit, however.
Seems to me if she wanted her child to live with her, it would be worth giving up smoking.

Now this is interesting. A thread that pits smokers against single dads who have lost custody of their children unfairly. That has to be a new one.
Never believe anything you read in the press. My suspicion is that there is a LOT more to this story. The reporter was just looking for an unusual angle.

Smokers now officially second or maybe third class citizens. I am no smoker, but this is beginning to go beyond stupid.

"Just the facts ma'am. Now did the judge ask the boy which brand he smokes? Maybe he would like try Chesterfields which is the brand I smoke. Two packs of 'em every day washed down with five pots of black coffee. It'll keep you on edge but you'll find your son will be able to stay up late to finish his homework."

"the father said his sons clothes smelled strongly of smoke after being in Florida. The father had said a pediatrician told him some of his sons illnesses, such as ear infections, were linked to the smoking."BS! The father's a pansy azz fairy and the kid's going to grow up to be the same, if he tkaes after him.

no HOWEVER how about the fact this is OHIO vs FLORIDA residence?
Where were they married?
Where is the extended family?
Since this is an OHIO case the courts tilt to keeping the child in the jurisdiction.
This could not have been OOOOONLY smoking.
