Marital sniping may have led to the departure of Brit Hume's wife, Kim, from Fox News last week.

Kim Hume's imminent exit as Fox's D.C. bureau chief was announced Thursday. The buzz out of Washington is that she and the anchorman had been tattletaling on each other to the chairman and CEO of Fox Television Stations.

Please remember, one and all, that the News likes to talk trash about Fox because Fox is owned by the same company that owns its primary competition in New York -- the Post.

Not sure why you posted this about Sandy Hume...relevancy to Kim leaving FOX?

Brit is certainly the BEST newsman in broadcasting we have in this country.

When I hear "may have led to" I'm gone. Pure speculation/gossip.

A different story, when one hears her own words:

There are indications Kim Hume stepped down on her own. She told U.S. News & World Report columnist Paul Bedard that Brit supported her feeling that she was "done." "He gets husband points galore," she said.

Then there is this, after noting that FNC's prime time ratings have been down 11 months in a row, down 23%:

"Ailes is reported to have called his top execs and producers to a 5 a.m. meeting to discuss ratings. He then ran an ad in the trades looking for "qualified" producers."

That's one of the real problems, too many sorry producers throughout the day. Too much tabloid sensationalism, catfighting formats and hyperbolic guests (especially from the left), shallowness, and Jon Benet/Aruba/alert gongs ad nauseum. Yeah, they are often the only outlet that gives voice to the conservative side of stories, but it would be nice if they would actually set the standard for professional news reporting and analysis instead of all too often a stale cartoon. Brit's show is the highlight of their programming, but much of the rest ranges from weak to a circus.

"Brit's not the easiest guy to get along with," said the source. "You disagree with him, and it's an argument. It's his way or the highway. [Kim] is a tough cookie, but he speaks down to her in front of other people."

It's hard to believe this is true. Is Kim the mother of Brit's son who died?

LOL, you touched on every single pet peeve I have with Fox News. I was working in my office on Sunday and had left FoxNews running in the background in another room when Julie Bandaras had two bi-polar guests at their height of their symptons on. For a full 4 minutes  they simultaneously yelled over each other and Bandaras didn't even attempt to quiet either one.

I was a flight of stairs away from a remote and was ready to chew a large oak tree by the time it ended. Needless to say the next trip to the coffee pot found a football game.

Not that I would ever stoop to gossiping....
but I know someone who used to work with Brit Hume and this person said he is arrogant and no fun to work with....just don't spread this around.

I always admire the way Brit is so sarcastic about democrats, and he manages to keep a straight face.
