Pataki Opening Office in Iowa
Breitbart ^

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) _ Ignoring the calendar, Republican Gov. George Pataki of New York is the first potential presidential candidate to open a campaign office in Iowa.

The caucuses aren't until January 2008, but Pataki plans to open an office this week in Des Moines and one in Manchester, N.H., soon after. He's also in preliminary discussions with officials in South Carolina about an office in that state, spokeswoman Alicia Preston said Monday.

"He wants to really help Republicans" in this year's midterm elections, Preston said.

Pataki has been a frequent visitor to Iowa. He decided not to seek another term as governor as he explores a bid for the Republican presidential nomination. Pataki is a moderate GOP governor who supports abortion rights and gun control, stands that puts him at odds with the Republicans' conservative base.

Not a snowball's chance. I knew he was dense but this really underlines it.

Dense? He makes a dwarf star/black hole seem porous.

I believe there is a longstanding feud between Pataki and Rudy Giulani which may be an explanation of his activity. It is to hurt Giuliani perhaps.

Recent history has shown that the surest path to the White House is via a Governor's Mansion.I think that this will give both Romney and Pataki credibility.

I've got an idea. New England politicians? FORGET NATIONAL OFFICE.

Look at your freaking track record in the past four decades. You can't win.

I have been going to the Krusty Konservative blog a good bit to keep up to date on the Iowa Cacucus
http://krustykonservative.blogspot.com/

Also the Caucus Cooler Blog
http://caucuscooler.blogspot.com/

From the post there and especially the comment sections I have picked up some things. One is that Pataki seems to be assembling a very good team already in Iowa. Romney also. I think Huckabee might come out of the pack there too. It is shaping up to be one hell of a race there

Pataki's wife is a despicale abortion vampire who has raised millions for baby-killing factories.

Also Huckabee too. If Brownback doesnt make that race then I have to believe that Huckabee will be a major contender.

"He wants to really help Republicans".

Best way to do that is stay in NY and keep his mouth shut!

Um, New York isn't in New England. Sorry to burst your bubble. This doesn't detract from the fact that he is so unpopular here that he would have trouble getting a job at the DMV.
A complete nothing.
