Recently, I posted a piece "Jihad This!" in which I stated that the time for political correctness had long since passed and that, at least so far as I was concerned, Americas entire Muslim population was suspect. For one thing, large numbers of them continued to wire funds to terrorist organizations even after 9/11, and instead of speaking out against their fellow Islamics or placing a reward on Osama bin Ladens head, they bellyache about racial profiling.
Frankly, I expected that a lot of people were going to take me to task for denouncing millions of our fellow Americans. That didnt happen. In fact, only one person, a Muslim living in England, took strong objection to the piece...

Ping. Just because people live in America, that doens't make them Americans.
What don't you understand?
I was agreeing with you.
heehee
If that man's opinion is that of the average Joe Muslim, then it would seem we had better be prepared to start blowing more stuff up. Cause it is us or them.
a good read
It's either Moslem or islamist. It isn't islamic, that is an adjective. It could be islamicist, which would be a non-moslem enraptured with Islam.
Excellent.
YUP!!!

I agree, in this way. It doesn't entitle them to be Americans, i.e. illegals. And sadly it doesn't mean that because they are here they want to try to be like Americans, whether legalized or not - you know, assimiliate. And for those who don't assimilate, who reject Americanisms, we hardly consider them 'Americans'.
Quite different from the time when my grandparents immigrated. They wanted to be naturalized, they wanted to be Americans, while retaining 'old country' traditions, yet assimilating Americanisms.
Oh, tee hee, I get it, too!
