The Good Life At Gitmo
ON the military plane back from America's most fa mous terrorist holding pen, the in-flight film was "V for Vendetta," a screed that tries to justify terrorism. It was a fitting end to a surreal, military-sponsored trip.
The Pentagon seemed to be hoping to disarm its critics by showing them how well it cares for captured terrorists. The trip was more alarming than disarming. I spent several hours with Rear Adm. Harry B. Harris Jr., who heads the joint task force that houses and interrogates the detainees. (The military isn't allowed to call them "prisoners.")
Harris, a distinguished Navy veteran who was born in Japan and educated at Annapolis and Harvard, is a serious man trying to do a politically impossible job. I spoke with him at length, and with a dozen other officers and guards, and visited three different detention blocks.
The high-minded critics who complain about torture are wrong. We are far too soft on these guys - and, as a result, aren't getting the valuable intelligence we need to save American lives.
The politically correct regulations are unbelievable. Detainees are entitled to a full eight hours sleep and can't be woken up for interrogations. They enjoy three meals and five prayers per day, without interruption. They are entitled to a minimum of two hours of outdoor recreation per day.

Yeah really. It's repulsive that this disgusting immoral little slut was ever allowed to be President. Thanks bunches P'rot.
Two words describe Clinton's two terms accurately:
LIP SERVICE!
Great Post!!!
Here comes the Clinton fawning. Barf bag is ready.
A bit late in the thread but here is the link to the Harry Smith/CBS interview with Michael Scheuer.

I think this interview is the first ever example of Clinton losing his cool and composure to the point that he actually starts contradicting himself and saying things that are clearly false in quoting Clarke's book which doesn't say what he claims it does. This interview is a GREAT thing. Clinton lost LOTS of points. FNS has Juan Williams and Moira Liason, two flaming NPR liberals, what conservatives have there ever been around other places Clinton spoke with? Nada.
If he had a road map, he must've been holding it upside down.
"Disinformation" is the new "truth".
Hey, Bubba, why'd you leave Gorelick's wall in place?
Boy is that the truth! Good catch!!! And how you put it is even funnier. :)
Billy Boy W***e got off his own script and proved that even the slick one can be taken off his ball and blow his oh so slick composure. He showed a big of the REAL Bill Clinton when it's exposed that he's a fraud and a joke and not as smart as he wants to content. Intelligence and a convincing deceptive nature are not the same thing.
Indeed!.....Exactly....
The sorry sonuvabitch will soon have to acknowledge that his legacy is cast in concrete and in the bottom of a large hole at ground zero in New York City...
Semper Fi
"barf" is right... getting tough to hold down my lunch.
He'll never give an honest answer on that .. or why he had her put the wall up in the first place
True but with that EO, the CIA couldn't assassinate anyone without PResidential authorization, and he neither rescinded that EO OR gave the CIA authorization. If he had, the CIA could have killed him as it wasn't hard to find him in the 90s. Just one more way that Clinton blew it. And now today he wants to say he gave the word to do it, and he never did. And no one is willing to go on the record saying that he ever authorized it. That's pretty telling I think.
Wag the sock puppet...
The significant difference about last night's interview is that for the first time, Clinton didn't have handlers who could cut the interview short or keep him from shooting his mouth off. What we saw last night was the true, unvarnished Clinton, and I'll bet Miss Hillary is spitting blood today.
LOL He said "crap". Chris sent him into a whirling dervish downward spiral.
