It's not hard to track them down but I think we might be at odds on the philosophical nature of the thing. We might be. I'm sure lots of people would like to put their own radio station on the air, to discuss their opinions, spin their disks, and score points with friends. But these folks who put these things up really don't know what they're doing to the radio spectrum outside the broadcast band.
And we'd all hate to see a plane crash because the pilot couldn't hear the tower, or a cop get shot because the dispatcher couldn't hear him call for a backup.

Of course you're right about the towers and whatnot. But my objection has to do with issues such as a federal claim of authority under statutes that might or might not have anything to do with private citizens. But we could go on and on about it so I'll just let it go. :)

CNN's RSS feed headline:
Clinton blasts critics caption:
Bill Clinton says he did more to try to kill Osama bin Laden than "all the right-wingers who are attacking me now." The former president blasted his critics during an interview where he was asked why he didn't do more to put bin Laden and the terrorist group al Qaeda out of business.

Well, my perspective is that I had to earn my license, and these pirates should too. Hey, as long as they stay under 1 watt output into a quarter-wave antenna, they're fine. ;-)
And I'll let it go too.
