When the ‘American Hiroshima’ comes as promised, our senators won't be guiltless

Hamid Mir, a Pakistani, is the only journalist to have interviewed Osama bin Laden and his deputy, Ayman al Zawahiri, since 9/11.

On the fifth anniversary of the attacks, Mr. Mir was in Afghanistan again, this time to interview Abu Dawood, the new al Qaida field commander there.

Final preparations have been made for an "American Hiroshima," Mr. Dawood told him, Mr. Mir said in an interview with Al Arabiya television last week. The attack or attacks will be led by Adnan El Shukrijumah, Mr. Mir said.

Mr. El Shukrijumah was born in Saudi Arabia in 1975, but grew up in Brooklyn. He was a friend of 9/11 hijack leader Mohammed Atta, and is both a trained nuclear technician and a pilot. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5 million for his capture.

When Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the former al Qaida operations chief who planned the 9/11 attacks was captured in 2003, he reportedly told his interrogators that Mr. El Shukrijumah would be in charge of the next major attack on America.

Pearl Harbor I - at least the enemy made it simple for us by wearing uniforms, belonging to a single Nation-State and flying aircraft marked with easy to identify symbols.

Not so simple today with Stateless groups attacking at will and in different areas.

The States that fund the killers, however, those are a bit easier to find.

" The States that fund the killers, however, those are a bit easier to find."

After, of course, we prove who funded the particular attack. And for that, please see Franz Kafka.

I don't know if this is true or not. I know that if they could they would. That doesn't mean I believe since we haven't been hit with nukes, they don't have them. They like to surprise us. My feelings are they may not strike the US homeland until the next President. 9/11 would be pretty hard to top (if that's what they want)- they just might be unable while Bush is in office. I firmly believe 9/11 changed him profoundly. The same can't necessarily be said for the next President.

If this happens, I pray to God that our Government will allow me to fight. At 51, I can shoot as good as these young snots who have never seen a trigger.

My son is currently in Basic Training at Ft Benning, GA.

In the event of a terrorist nuclear attack on US soil, I fully intend to join him down there.

If denied the privilege of service, I intend to wage war by other means.

Pakistan, Iran, Syria and Saudi Arabia are prime targets

Personally, I'd hit every Muslim country from Morocco to Indonesia with everything we've got.

That whole region would be rendered uninhabitable for 1000 years - ground bursts of big, inefficient warheads with lots and lots of NASTY long-lived radioactive by-products as fallout.

This ain't paddy-cake.
