He shot himself in the foot, for one. He did not look good. He reminded folks of the partisan, blame everyone but me crap we went thru in the 90s. He didn't look Presidential, and that's what most Americans want of their ex-presidents: Decorum, stateliness, and gravitas. Between Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, the image of the wise, sage-like ex-president has been completely abandoned for a couple of partisan hacks.
Chris Wallace is NO right-winger, LOL!!! Come on now, he won the Dumb A$$ Player of the Week for the first two weeks! Of course, it's easy to assail what you never watch or listen to, but for those who do watch, it does not compute. So Clinton should have saved his ammunition and venom for his real enemies, which are plenty, because he won't shut up and go away. He won't be able to blow up like that again without really appearing unhinged. That was a once-only rage (fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me).
Once again, people are reminded by Clinton of what they forgot that they didn't like about Clinton.
Thanks for the top ten I will do the awards tomorrow as I am doing the dose tonight
I'm so tickled to have been given an honorable mention. What a phenomenal group of FReepers on the Sunday Morning thread!
Let's do it again this coming Sunday (You suppose Chris Wallace could get Hillary scheduled for an interview???--HAR!)
Plus, sincere thanks to Phsstpok. You provide almost too much information which has to entail a bunch of work Still.... Thank you for all you do, including the Saturday preview.
With your eye problems, you surely put the rest of to shame for not doing more.
The one post of yours I plucked out to include in the list was merely representative (and priceless). If I had to choose only one post on the thread to represent this entire weekend, overall, this would probably have been it.
"Does he think so well of himself or is it he is trying to convince himself how well he did as President when deep down he knows the truth and cannot face it."
May I be so bold as to ask for a special award for you? I thought about doing so before now but also thought you might object, so I demurred. You deserve one for this post, and for much more!
Thanks for all you do.
One last comment about yesterday, Clinton said yesterday that he never criticized Bush.
The interesting part about this lie is that it shows that Clinton knows how a decent ex-President is supposed to act, yet he can't do it. Otherwise, why lie about it?
The (non-barking monnbat) citizens of the US have seen the decency with which both former President "41" and our current President "43" Bush and their wives have treated the XXX-Prez Clinton and his "wife".
Never a mean or sarcastic word, only respect and honor befitting an ex-President of our great nation. And in return, the Bushes get nothing but back-stabbing and carping and partisan slaps.
Deep inside himself, there is some human part of Bill Clinton, that knows he isn't 10% of the man that President Bush, or his father, or Ronald Reagan were. He knows he had his chance and blew it. Clinton is just hoping at this point that history will view him as less of a failure than Jimmy Carter.
I thought this was a great comment by Rush today:
Never forget, Clinton did protect us from those who threatened us greatly--
The Branch Davidians.
Wow!! Great wrap up, Phss!!!!
Thanks tons!
..I was so glad to have a TV by my computer again so I could keep up..It was a great thread.
Thanks very much. :)
LOL, I couldn't believe he said that! :)
I normally would skip a Clinton interview ..I am so glad I watched this. "Ole wag his finger and lie" was the DAP of the Week hands down!
Thanks for the mention. It's quite an honor to be listed with all the heavy hitters on the Prime Time thread at Free Republic.
Just when we think you have done it all,you surprise us and go way above and beyond what any mortal should be capable of accomplishing. What a job you have done, and I am personally deeply humbled by your performance, and the other honorable mentions, and Top Ten Winners. I have seen so many new (to this thread)great posters that it can certainly not be a coincidence that they have arrived after you had linked this thread to your blog. I was thrilled to see SC back and giving an A-plus performance, and Great investigative,Veteran freepers like Howlin making this thread the Gold Standard of the Cyberspace Commentary. Together we can make a difference, IMHO we already have, but there are miles to go before we sleep. The battle is not over,it is continuous, but we will persevere.
Thank you. You deserve an award for such great organizational skills.
Thank you Phsstpok I'm honored:)
Nice work!
Thanks for all your efforts. This was a great Sunday Morning Talk Show Thread!
