I dont know what a Tom Cruise moment is so I cannot comment on that to either of you. I dont watch much concerning Cruise and dont follow what he does.
I agree the so-called melt down will be debunked by the radio shows and new media. I still believe Clinton was playing to his supporters and trying to create another Sister Souljah moment. Not for you but if anyone wants a refresher click on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sister_Souljah_moment to understand what that means. Democrats believe this was the turning point in Clintons first run for president, which got him the nomination.
My point is that Clinton did what he did in a cold, calculated way in an attempt to create a furor that would change the subject and stem the tide of momentum Republicans have enjoyed for the past month. I hope this does not turn out to be a he-said/she-said argument and the public turns it off and tunes it out. Thats what happened during the Clinton impeachment too. Democrats were ranting and raving that the public tuned it all out. Clinton won reelection in the face of damning charges because the Democrats managed to change the subject.
So, hows it working? Thats still unknown but Rush and earlier talk show hosts have been all over it today. The Clinton claims will all be debunked, IMHO, and hell be exposed as a liar again but it remains to be seen whether or not we can get back on track with issues that are motivating Republicans and independent voters to vote and support our side.
Even today the New York Times has again leaked sensitive documents, which most people realize is typical for Democrats and the media. But, is this what everyone is talking about or remembering? Not that Ive seen.

Hmmmmmmm---I really hate to post something that I have no source for...to prove it..but I was so EXCITED about what I heard...that I posted it.
BUT, I was pretty sure that since Bill was obviously surprised AND very interested in that...that he would have Cohen on his TV show..and have him repeat what he said.
Needless to say...he didn't...so, I have NO way of proving it.
If anyone is upset that I posted it yesterday...and questions whether I heard it...the ONLY thing I can say is..you could go back over my posting history...and try to find where I posted about it on that day.
I can't remember ever running to my computer to post something I heard on a radio talk show...or on one of the Cable news channels.....if I actually did NOT hear it.
But, I have learned my lesson, I just won't anymore ...I get in trouble when I do....LOL
Thanks for looking though, Phsstpok!!

I'm not upset. But why not ping Bill to your interest and ask him to at least pull up the sound bite?

The "Tom Cruise Moment" would be a reference to when Tom went on Oprah and jumped on her couch to declare how much he loved Katie. He was still being dogged by rumors that he was gay or that he was being ordered by his Scientology handlers to find a young wife, marry and father a child. His "performance" was taken as a planned exercise, much as Clinton's tantrum is being portrayed, but everyone looked at him and was really put off and completely got the opposite impression of what he wanted.
I think (hope) that this is what will come out of Bill's melt down yesterday.

Thanks for the explanation on Cruise. I had no idea and have seen that referenced before without knowing. I don't watch Oprah either.
I realize everything Clinton does is for his benefit but this worries me because I also know he has an interest in winning in 2006 so Democrats can trash Republicans officially in the House or Senate, which will in turn help him rehabilitate his reputation and legacy.
Yes, he could have really melted down. But, I also know Bill is the consummate actor in misleading the public and I don't put anything past him. He got the nickname Slick Willy for a reason.

I think that Chris was very brave since he looks like a little guy and Clinton is a big horse that could do real damage in that state of mind he was in during the interview. Wallace was talking(I do not know how)back to Clinton, but I believe he was frozen in his chair. Most Police Officers will tell you that they would rather deal with any kind of situation except a Mentally ill person. They don't feel much pain during their tirades, they don't care how bad they look, they do not care who they hurt, and you are always the enemy to them.

A Clinton (Bill) sandwich
Sunday, September 24, 2006
This is a "Clinton (Bill) sandwich," as MTP was delayed for golf coverage, and thus his interviews went first and last. The first was, in the words of the interviewer, "unusual," while the latter was very pleasant.
Bill Clinton on FNS praised Dick "Book Tour" Clarke as the source of all good in his Administration and held up Clarke's novel as the definitive treatise on his actions in the war on terror. He was unhinged but the host allowed him to regain his composure. It was hysterical.
On TW, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist would not answer Steph's hypotheticals about waterboarding. We couldn't set a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq, he said, and the new measure on detainee treatment set definitions for Common Article 3 of the Geneva Convention.
Tom Kean, junior, said that he agrees with the President on tax cuts, and Bob Menendez complained about the "politics of personal destruction."
John McCain held court on FTN this morning, arguing for an increase in the size of the Army and the Marine Corps. and expressing confidence in his detainee legislation.
Arlen Specter and Jane Harman were guest-host John King's guests on LE. Harman, a former Georgetown law professor, argued that Specter was a "good lawyer" but had sold out on the detainee issue. For his part, Specter argued that he was not in a box and that McCain had taken the power of habeas corpus from the federal courts.
Harman argued that the "intelligence was absolutely clear" that Saddam had never spoken to al Qaeda.
And finally, Clinton and Russert on MTP. It was a very pleasant interview. He did not criticize the Bush Administration as overtly, choosing instead his air of superiority, and he said that he wasn't serious when he said that Hillary might not win a Presidential run.

Honorable Mention Awards for 9-24-06
Earlier this week MNJohnnie posted a comment to those of us who rotate doing the "awards" for the Sunday thread. A quick note for those who don't know my approach to these awards: I view them primarily as a way to highlight posts and posters that folks should make sure to read. This thread moves so fast that I know I often miss lots of posts and that means I am probably also missing some really good posts. The process I go through is to try to first identify posts that are "notable or quotable." Notable posts will tend to either have some significant insight on a topic (even if it's not directly being discussed on the shows) or a fact or (better yet) a link to documentation that will prove, disprove or simply further our understanding of what's been said. Quotable posts are just that, funny, profound, or simply well phrased posts that are worth remembering and to be "whipped out" at need. OK, back to MNJ's post the other day:
My sincere condolences for whom ever is the Top Ten judge this week!
Billy Clinton everywhere? Oh the horror! Oh the Humanity! Did we not just outlaw torture? Put this one on endless repeat loop and force the terrorists to watch it 24/7 until they crack!
Quick witted devil that I am I responded thusly (mostly because I knew I wasn't scheduled for this week):
Rod is listed in the last schedule, but he sent a note that he was being called out of town. He didn't indicate if he would still do it or if he needed someone to cover.
However, I think that whoever does the duty tomorrow will only have a problem with volume and too many great posts. After all, it will be a "target rich environment."
Well, guess what? Rodguy911 was fighting some issues that made it difficult for him to cover this week. So as things worked out I ended up doing the honors. I learned that having a "target rich environment" is truly not always an easy thing to deal with.
As stated my approach is to pull "notable or quotable" posts in whole or in part into a subset of the thread. I then cull through those posts to try to come up with the top 10, more as a fun exercise than as any kind of contest. Remember, my purpose is to provide pointers for people to things they might have missed. Providing some hierarchy to that can help and it can add a bit of fun to the process. Make no mistake, every post on this thread is worthy of an award. Alas Babylon! and I have been using the phrase The Jedi Council back and forth for some time now. The group that participates here are truly masters of gathering, analyzing and communicating relevant information to an amazing extent. Well, with this target rich environment (over 1,297 posts as I type this on Monday afternoon) I chose only (!) 193 posts to highlight. That could easily have been closer to 1,000 posts (the ones about ED Hill didn't add to the conversation, so sue me!).
So, where do I go from there? My prejudices lead me to prefer posts with factual information on a topic being discussed, particularly with references and, best of all, with links. That doesn't make that right or wrong, it's just my prejudices. After that I look for posts that "move the discussion forward." What I mean by that is I want to see posts that provide insight, not just argument. I get plenty of argument from my kids <g>. I prefer enlightenment, even if it contradicts something I think is so. And I don't have to accept the point being made. I hope I'm honest enough to highlight posts that make a point well, even if I don't agree with it. Finally, I value the posts that provide running commentary on what is actually being said on the shows. There's no way to watch all of the shows (and in some cases no desire) and these posts make that unnecessary in many cases. I also value funny posts, but I tend to use those mostly as tie breakers.
Once I've weighed the posts that I think excel, given my prejudices above, I pull those out of the original list and set them aside until I come up with a list of 10 posters that I will then try to rank from 10 to 1 for the "awards." In the meantime, however, I don't want to discard the other posts that I pulled out of the thread. The primary reason, going back to my desire to provide signposts for things we may have missed, is that the ranking process I do only reflects my prejudices and that doesn't in any way lessen the merit of pointing people to the remaining posts. After all, I have been known to make mistakes (see my tag line).
Therefore, allow me to present to you a list of posters and posts, in alphabetical order by screen name, that I refer to as the honorable mention list. Again, these reflect my own point of view, but I hope it will prove valuable. I know I got a lot out of these posts and from these posters. The top ten will come a little later.

- #647; "I watched (the Clinton interview) a little while ago. Clinton lost it! He was really angry about the Somalia charge, and said right wingers were yelling for him to leave... That is partially right. Everyone was screaming for him to leave, because he didn't have any idea what he was doing. I did a short search of some background stuff on it... This was good.. Richard Lugar on Somalia: ... This was the Ambassador to Somalia: Real eye opener ... Here is a reminder that it was Murtha that convinced Clinton to withdraw:.. Here is another link to documents by Al-Queda crowing about the success in Somalia: ... This is the overview page where most of the interviews came from. It also has a time line. (Just to refresh everyone's memory.)"
- #1,134; "... I believe we saw the end of Democrats as we know them when they could not stop Alito's nomination, a loss this year will etch that in stone... The fight between the Moveon wing and the DLC wing of the Dem party is going to resemble Hamas vs. PLO with the loser being the party."
Alas Babylon! (AB, you meet my criteria for the top 10, unfortunately there were 13 others who did too! I figured you'd understand)
- #5; "From FReeper Nautinurse, a wonderful graphic of what we'll see this morning! As they say, if the finger's waggin', he must be lyin'!..." (note: great picture collection)
- #53; "Answer to your (rhetorical) questions above:... 1. No, of course not! We were mad he wasn't doing ENOUGH! As President Bush said later, "We're not going to send a million dollar missile to blow up a 100 dollar camel" anymore... 2. LOL! Clinton hired Tenent! He's his creation. If Tenent's so bad in Clinton's eyes, why didn't he fire him instead of passing him on to President Bush? Hmmmmm... Do I detect a pattern here? That's right, Clinton, Let George Do It. Just like George Bush having to fight a war against Al Qaeda now since you didn't do your job then... 3. Well, the CIA and FBI couldn't talk to each other and share intelligence due to your Assistant Attorney General Jamie Gorelick and her wall, remember? And Bill, while we're at it, why did this "wall" have to be? I heard it was to prevent the agencies finding out about ChiCom financing of your campaign (and God knows what else) for missile technology? Care to speak on that? ... 4. Clinton's criticism of the Bush administration has broken all bounds of traditional former presidential behavior. This is an outright lie, and I'm sure we could post thousands of news articles posting quotes that contradict you, Clinton... 5. Richard Clarke's main concern was cyber terrorism. I'd say after 9/11, he failed, wouldn't you? ... 6. It's either the smirk, the bit lip, or some other theatric." (Note: follow up to Anita's post #44 - we're already on a roll and this was posted at 7:30 CDT!)
- #947; "Actually, an independent McCain would be Hillary's Perot. He would take the votes to the right of her, and barely make a dent in the Republican's vote. I just don't see real republicans and conservatives getting excited over a McCain independent run. And the moonbats wouldn't necessarily vote for her, if say a Nader runs. Than she's squeezed flat in the middle!... Anyway, McCain has said, numerous times on camera, that he'd never run as an independent. Great campaign commercial stuff for his opponents if he ever did."
- #958; "It might be funny and ironic, that the next president of the United States is from Massachusetts, but NOT John F'n Kerry!"
- #1,077 "... I will never accept that Clarke did a great job. He sucked like most of the other bureaucratic Clinton appointees in DC. I laughed at how the "Path to 9/11" miniseries showed him. The fact that Pres Bush kept them aboard says a lot for Pres Bush. Bill Clinton fired every Bush I appointee he could get his crony-stuffing-jobs hands on."
anita (Always among the best contributors. The Media Nuggets post is one of my absolute favorites each week)
- #44; "From Clinton interview:... All of President Bush's neocons claimed that I was too obsessed with finding Bin Laden - Did they?... The CIA was run by George Tenet who President Bush gave the medal of freedom to and said he did a good job. - What 's his beef with Tenet? (or President Bush?) ... The CIA and the FBI refused to certify that Bin Laden was responsible while I was there. They refused to certify. - The same people stood in the way of President Bush too thro' MSM, but W went along with his way over-ruling them... I never criticized President Bush. - Really?... Why did they fire Richard Clarke? - Because they can, it 's their admn.... And you've got that little smirk on your face. It looks like you're so clever - So, Bush is on his mind & he thinks Bush 's clever." (note: Very important post, the first to start posing the specific questions - this is going to be huge)
- #61; "Well put, AB. Democrats are going to regret that Clinton is coming out talking about terrorism & his handling. It is ironic for him to spam the entire media, but a little challenge to him about his handling is the main-talk that is dominating... Meanwhile his former trusted aide Dick Morris is just warming up."
- #142; this weeks Media Nuggets, great as usual! Shocker about Kim Hume leaving Fox, which opened up a lot of speculation about Brit's future (say it ain't so!)

- #141; "Hehe, (Clinton) loved the 911 comission report until Wallace brings up a part of it that smacks him. Now he is demeaning the report... What a transparent liar."
- #164; "He is unstable. And he did damage our country while he was in office. But the problem is, he has his minions still damaging this country. We are NOT out of the woods yet. And he keeps us struggling to finish the win... He is vile... Damn, now he is blasting Chris Wallace and Fox bigtime. He is an ATTACK DOG this morning... His true personality is out there for all to see. Frightening!!!!"
- #221; "LOL! Now he is b*tching about Rove outsmarting the dems. LOLOL"
- #247; "Nah, (Clinton) would rather whine about those "Right Wingers", you know-the ones his wife accused of making false allegations against him... One word describes the end of this interview---GOOEY! ... I've never heard the words "Thank you" said so full of resentment. He knows Wallace got him to expose his dark side."
Arizona Carolyn
- #650; "Chris Wallace was just interviewed on this interview on FOX and he said he was stunned by Clinton's reaction to his question, that he kept trying to get back to the ground rules for the interview and Clinton wasn't having any of that ... and Rupert Murdock just gave Clinton 1/2 Billion dollars for his little Global Initiative and then Clinton attacks Wallace for being a right-winger (which is he anything but)... My opinion, Clinton's ego has, once again, gotten in his way and this was a different version of "I didn't have sex with that woman." The man is such a pathological lier that he is like OJ Simpson, convinced of the myth, not the truth... He kept slamming Bush's demoting Clark and how great Clark was, yet Clark was not kind to Clinton in his own book -- maybe Clinton didn't really READ that book????"
barker
- #223; "'Man has (Clinton) aged.' ... LOL I thought he was morphing into Jimmy Carter. Can you imagine his reaction if Chris had asked him 'does it bother you that you are getting and looking so old?'"

- #1,130;"I just saw the interview. A lot of people will believe his lies and his self-serving excuse-making, and they'll vote accordingly... What would have been more satisfying than Wallace ordering Clinton off the set -- when Clinton leaned back and shut up -- if Wallace had asked, 'During the 9-11 Commission hearings, what documents did Sandy Berger remove from the archives? With what documents did he replace them, and did he do this at your or your representatives' bidding?' ... They still fear this psychopath."
- #1,256; "... I think it was Hillary's "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" ploy all over again. Clinton's repeatedly saying "Fox News, you right wingers, Fox, neocons, Right Wingers, Fox network" and on and on, set up the true believers who prefer passion to reason, and let Clinton sell the Dems' theme that there really is no terrorist threat, only a false fear that might keep the faithful from voting for Dems... During a live TV interview, stand-up, a young Hillary gazed blankly into the camera and said, 'You don't give your enemies a chance; you knock them to the ground and keep kicking them until they can't get up.' ... This is the Realpolitik that brought down the short-lived Weimar Republic; it is out of Marat, and Robespierre's friend, Saint-Just who proclaimed that the purpose of the new French Republic was to exterminate its enemies. It is Gramsci and Lenin, and it is the politics of the Clinton Democrats.... " (note this is some excerpts from a short essay post that is well worth the read)

- #818; "'...Remember how smart and savvy and what a great communicator Clinton was supposed to be?...' Interesting comments. The Left positioned Clinton as their Reagan. President Reagan did speak well off the cuff under pressure from a thoroughly hostile MSM, unlike Clinton who, when asked a non-fawning question becomes hostile.... This is why Clintonistas wooed the MSM with parties and a coequal interest in a socialist agenda. Their shared agenda worked well and at the expense of the nation's security... Both Clintons remain insulated with the MSM they seduced with in-crowd cocktail parties and influence. Thus an unexpected question posed by Chris Wallace unhinged him... On another note: I think the impetus behind the Clinton global initiative is to purchase him the UN Secretary General's seat. This global initiative is a slush fund to offer every tin-pot dictator funding help [read bribes] in exchange for a vote to change the rules so that a member state sitting on the Security council can be Secretary General... This helps explain stalling on Secretary Bolton's nomination."

- #702; "He also mentions the the FBI and CIA wouldn't guarantee, even though he knew His Wall kept them from sharing information... 'Hello 911? This is Chris Wallace at FOX NY, could you please send a Rubber Truck out here?? Ah, yah might want to bring a taser?' ..." (note: funny stiff)

Here's a little tidbit from the Richard Clarke book, the one that Bubba is so all fired up about. Very interesting and courtesy of Tigerhawk... 'Second, Clarke points out that we were 'bombing Iraq every week.' Got that? We were manifestly -- by every measure that matters -- in a state of war with Iraq long before the Bush Administration came in to office. This notion that the invasion of March 2003 was a new war has been cooked up for its political value, but it has no basis in reality. We were flying 10,000 sorties a year against Iraq to enforce the no-fly zones, Iraq's air defenses were illegally shooting back, and we were dropping bombs on Iraqi targets 'every week' during stretches of that time. We were enforcing sanctions against Iraq that were devastating Iraq's economy, and we repeatedly flew punitive missions against Iraqi positions to retaliate for one or another violation of the 1991 cease fire agreement. The United States and the United Kingdom have been at war with Iraq since the end of the first Gulf War, not just as a legal technicality but as a matter of fact. The invasion of March 2003 was an escalation of that war that greatly compounded our exposure to casualties, but it was not a new war.'"

And Tony and the President handle it with such grace... Clinton is just used to having a media that accepted whatever he said as gospel and he can't take even one tough question. During the height of impeachment, there were were questions but they were softballs that accepted whatever he said, and also the media constantly tried to have us believe that his approval rating was over 70%. The other thing his appearance may have the tendency to do is continue to make the link - when we see Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton is not far behind - another reason why I believe Hillary is unelectable as President."

- #1,132; "Clearly there is something going on under the radar that has the Dems nervous. It doesn't make sense they would be so defensive given the top news items of the week: ... Perhaps it has something to do with the under reported raid on the Moslem charity offices and home of one of its principles. One of those charities has already been implicated in the Oil for Food scam and was a heavy contributor to many Democrats. ... It seems to me that Democrat opposition to Iraq ramped up shortly after it was disclosed that the US had captured all those documents. IMO, there is a fear that these charities are as meticulous record keepers as Saddam was... The Dems continue to be in a race against time. They must regain control of Congress before the light of freedom is shed on Saddam's Iraq. They must defund the initiates that continue to connect dots; that peels away the layers of deception and obfuscation that hide someone(s) complicity in Saddam's reign of terror." Of course he fails to mention that is exactly what President Bush has just done... Clinton says that "water boarding was sought in this legislation" when in fact it was specifically being ruled out as the initial legislation put forth by the President was the exact wording of John McCain from a year ago. This is disinformation that many are spreading... He says we could have "spent 300 billion in Afghanistan to secure a moderate, pro-western government that could have keep the Taliban from coming back across the border..." Last time I looked Karzai headed a pro-western moderate government and since $300 billion can't keep terrorists from coming across the desert borders of Iraq, how in the hell would one expect it to keep the extremists from the most unruly (Kashmir) land on the planet from coming across some of the highest and most rugged mountains on the globe? It is totally irresponsible to state what that money would have produced like there is some kind of magic formula... Next he says we could have spent that money in homeland security which is one of my pet peeves... Essentially he's saying that he could have spent another 300 billion dollars and achieved the exact same results as President Bush. Zero, nada, none, no, zip attacks on American soil in 5 years is hard to beat regardless of how much you spend... Russert hasn't asked a tough question yet. He's just letting Clinton ramble on and say what he likes without questioning any of his thinking. I'm not sure why Tim doesn't just pull out his knee pads and finish the job."

'There is no other way to say it, the former President lost it,' said Wallace... Clinton granted the interview to get attention for the Clinton Global Initiative, his philanthropic effort... 'CGI is a nonpartisan event, and so we thought it would be fair to do Fox News Sunday... When Wallace hid behind his viewers and attacked President Clinton's record on terror, President Clinton fought back hard, just like any Democrat should when they are attacked with a baseless attack,' said Clinton spokesman Jay Carson... It's all about Bubba. A sick man. It's all about his legacy of BJs from interns, impeachment, and not getting Bin Laden when he had several clear-cut chances... Wallace asked a legitimate question and Bubba responded by losing his composure. He also attacked Wallace personally. To the Democrat faithful, as expected, Bubba did a good job. To regular Americans, those that simply want to be more informed, this was a big revelation and turn-off. To see a former president this abrasive and personally nasty to a legitimate question was offensive. The way Bubba was finger-pointing at Wallace was crude; and then Bubba reaching his hand and touching Wallace in what I thought was a threatening way was beyond the pale... The specifics were not surprising: He blames 'neo-cons' (i.e., Jews), blames Bush, blames right-wingers, etc.. Then he touts Richard Clarke, a proven liar, as a source for truth. But the whopper lies Bubba told about Bin Laden...I cannot wait for Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin to get tear him apart... This is the Bubba we always wanted America to see. He may still be treated as a rock star by the media and the lib faithful, but he lost a lot of respect from the average American that may have liked him at one time." It is good and instructive for liberal leaning people to get a close up view of the Clinton mentality. Now the question is, WHO will FOX have on to give the correct version of all events covered by Clinton? Especially since Clinton mentioned no names other than Rove and Clark but sweepingly used the RIGHT WING to cover all bases. Dick Cheney or Donald Rumsfeld could do it but maybe a woman would be better pairing---Victoria Toensing is prime time experienced and quite capable of setting the record straight. I think Chris Wallace would appreciate interviewing an intelligent, no nonsense, articulate person of the caliber of lawyer Toensing. Even the cry baby ex president Clinton would not intimadate Victoria. She could even handle a smirk if Chris sneaked one in."

When the Clinton administration failed to authorize an attack on bin Laden during a desert hunting trip in 1999, 'For some of the ground-level officers involved in the bin Laden chase the decision to hold fire seemed almost unforgivable. It had been one thing before the African embassy bombings to have their plan to raid Tarnak Farm [denied] ... but with the desert camp, recalled one participant, 'We knew he was there. We had assets in place. There was little risk to life and limb to anybody.. and it would have been, we thought, definitive ... Some of them [CIA] blamed Clarke, speculating that he was so close to the U.A.E. royal family because of defense deals he had previously negotiated that he would never take the risk of offending them.... House Speaker Newt Gingrich expressed firm support, and Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott, said, 'Our response appears to be appropriate and just.' ... Others were more critical. Accusing Clinton of 'lies and deceit and manipulations and deceptions,' Sen. Dan Coats, R-Ind., said the president's record 'raises into doubt everything he does and everything he says, and maybe even everything he doesn't do and doesn't say.' ... Administration officials dismissed such skepticism. Cohen said: 'The only motivation driving this action Thursday was our absolute obligation to protect the American people from terrorist activities. While I agree that the danger of appeasement was the major lesson to be learned from Hitler's rise and its disastrous aftermath, the effect of Goebbels' constant butchering of the truth was also a determinant in taking Germany, and hence the world, down a calamitous path. Clinton and his lackeys are attempting to overturn the true nature of his time in office. And efforts to point out the truth to the public can never be overdone... Conservatives fight an uphill battle against demagogues like the Clintons. Furthermore, we have to battle against the human proclivities to envy the successful and to avoid toil in the pursuit of goods. This is a matter of fact that is borne out by the demographics of the political landscape. So, American Leftist twisting of the truth is every bit as dangerous as the practices of Hitler's propaganda machine. I say never pass up a chance to show Bubba's presidency it for what it was. Top 10 for 9/24/06
Here are the top 10. See the honorable mention post for explanations of how I pick 'em and what personal biases I apply to this process. Remember, the rankings are merely my own arbitrary preferences. I will argue strongly only that all of the posts I have highlighted, both here and in the honorable mention post, are worthy of your time.

But I think if he had done a contract with some hired assassin(s), it would have come our by now. He has enough detractors on this... If I am wrong, it not only shows why he and Hitlery can't do an interview or press conference without strict control due to their hot tempers and lack of control when called to accountability, but it also means we have a former President that has claimed he actually DID DO what the media jumped all over a Christian Leader for SUGGESTING we do with Chavez."

I detect a Democrat initiative to rewrite history to blame everyone but themselves. Gorelick says there was no wall, but that Ashcroft extended the wall during his tenure at Justice. Then other Democrats are coming out supporting Clinton's obvious lies and distortions... Just amazing. But, I still think they are doing all of this because they fear the defeat they face in November if things remain the same as they have been these past few weeks. The Democrats are striking out at every issue and exposure because they are getting killed in the public arena now. Voters are paying attention and Democrats believe they can lie and get away with it long enough to get through November... We really have to resist letting them dictate or change the subject now. Our focus has to stay with President Bush's efforts to keep the nation safe, the Democrats being on the wrong side of the interrogation issues, and the great speeches President Bush gave this past week. The economy is doing well and the price of gas has been coming down. The fed has gotten large amounts of tax money coming in... I can never take the word of the NYT... in fact I think the opposite... they start with bad intentions and haven't learned their lesson yet... Do these people think that Saddam would not be funding terrorists as in the past? Clarke was named special adviser to the president for cyberspace security in October 2001. He resigned from his post in January 2003."

I'm already on the schedule for next week and as of now I'm sticking with that, but then I don't do it again until late in November (emergencies excepted). I'm busting my hump to give the others something to live up to... dontcha know? ;^>
(Actually, I would just rather get it out of the way)

Thank you so much, Josh! I am certainly in good (and numerous ;->) company!!!
In all the excitement I never posted my Dumb A$$ Player of the Week!!!!
This week our award goes out to the 42nd POTUS, only the second president in 219 years to be impeached, and the only president to be barred from ever appearing before the Supreme Court of the US (except as a defendant, God willing!). A certifiable liar, a grifter, a moral reprobate, that sweet talking, lovable ole rapist (keep abortion legal, get one NOW Free Pass©) himself.....
