MILWAUKEE - Barry Bonds hit his 734th career home run Saturday night, breaking Hank Aaron's NL record in the same city where the Hall of Fame slugger started and ended his major league career.
The San Francisco Giants star hit a 1-0 pitch from Milwaukee's Chris Capuano over the right-center fence in the third inning, just out of the reach of outfielders Brady Clark and Corey Hart.
Bonds, who hit No. 733 and drove in a season-high six runs Friday night, is 21 homers shy of Aaron's career mark of 755. It was Bonds' 26th home run of the season.
Never proven.
If Ryan Howard breaks 61 in the next 2 weeks, THAT is the record that should stand. The Maris Family has already said as much as well, and I agree.
Dude that's funny...
I wondered where I left that needle?
Please.
And a racist. Got in a fight with an ex-teammate when he told him "I don't sign balls for white kids".
In Milwaukee, where Aaron played so many seasons, he probably was.
I had forgotten that Arron finished his career with the Milwaukee Brewers, when they were still in the American League.
That's right. That's what his gofer, excuse me, "personal trainer" says. Oh, wait, he doesn't say anything!
He'll never get to 755. Thank God.
"Cheater" or not, he was better than the rest of the cheaters. I respect that.
Baseball commisioner and leadership failed.
Yawn.

Read and understand...
Bonds added more drugs after the 2000 season, when Anderson hooked up Bonds with BALCO and its founder, Conte, according to the authors. In addition to the Cream and the Clear, the steroids designed to be undetectable, Bonds took such drugs as Clomid, a women's infertility drug thought to help a steroid user recover his natural testosterone production, and Modafinil, a narcolepsy drug used as a powerful stimulant.
Yup he just eats good.
I hope the Phillies invite the Maris family to come see Ryan Howard become the third player in Major League Baseball history to legitimately hit 60 home runs in a season. If teams start having the guts to throw Howard a few pitches in the strike zone, 62 will be the new legitimate record.
I don't think it's jealousy of Bonds, McGuire was well liked but people scoff at his numbers also.
