FRiends of Flyer will be celebrating the joy we knew in knowing him. The Memorial Party will be held in a fashion that Flyer would love ~ lots of FRiends, food, beer and fun.
Lots of pictures will be posted during and after the party.
I am a doofus and do not know how to post the link to the Flyer Prayer thread, all you smart guys or girls feel free to have at it.
A good time and deerburgers were had by all!
I'm crying, but I'm laughing too. Y'all done good and sent him off right.
(So very sorry I couldn't be there . . . even sorrier I couldn't call . . . dress rehearsal wonky and not as scheduled.)
Taking the picture is one thing.
Doctoring it is something else entirely.
It looks like it was that, indeed.
Flyer approves, I think.
I'm sure you got our beer-soaked phone message. You know...the one where humblegunner was discussing the many uses of bidets or somethng like that?
Hope you didn't get too banged up at rehearsal!
We had beer and deer and friends without peer! Thanks to everyone coming and contributing to a bang-up time. I and Buddy both had a wonderful day. Let's not wait until someone else dies to have a another get-together, shall we?
I did indeed, and laughed until my stomach hurt! I played it three times. It was exactly what my day needed.
I'm also very glad Mason made it there! He looks like he had quite a bit of deer assuage.
Great by me! We had a fabulous time, too. Buddy was so well behaved, but in my own defense I have to say now you all know why I ususally avoid the margies [boohoo] ~snorrfle!~
I'm thinking Thanksgiving...looking for lowcal yam recipe...
Hey, we do that in Alaska. Of course about Thanksgiving time, dawn arrives about 10 am.
That was a golden moment.
Mason, Buddy and Dubya all had a good time and got to know ech other.
I agree with TR - we must get together more often.
I leave tomorrow (sigh...) but will be back in January.
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing each and every one of you. I truly believe Flyer was smiling down on us all Saturday and enjoying the human and canine merriment.
I wish you weren't going. But, I can look forward to January, at least! Safe trip. Glad to know you! ;o)
But it is truely a glorious dawn...
BTW, I hate the clear-blue-sky-snowcapped-mountain-stuff that seems to permiate your photographic montages...
Just kidding, its just jealousy I suppose...hehehe
Sorry that "Wife Unit" and I had to bug out early Saturday...It was great to see all of y'all again...
Sometimes you just get lucky!
I reckon it'll help his campaign, too.
Yes, when all is snow capped, it not only looks great, but you don't have to get up early or stay up late to see the sunrise/sunset.
It was great to see you again Saturday, even if only for a short while. I had to be sociable first to those who picked me up early at the airport and gave me a truck to drive and a bed for sleeping or I would have been there sooner.
It was a pleasure to meet you.
Best wishes in your travels.
We hate to see you leave, Allegra, and have lots of prayers going up for your safety. God bless and keep you.
Yes...we need more parties! :D Can't have enough of them. Flyer was a happy angel on Saturday to see us all gather in his name to have fun.
The next day of cleaning out his home wasn't so fun, but we did think about him and Roger as we did so....and more stories were told.
Just great pictures, Gunner! Especially that one of Mason. He is a sweetie! It was wonderful to get to be there with all you great, fun-to-be-with people there in Houston.
Technology can only do so much.
RIP my FRiend (Chance misses ya too!)
Thank you for posting this, NYTexan.
I miss him so much.
