Great place to stick to all those right-wing, pro-war types driving between San Francisco and Marin County. Yeah. A rich vein of Bush support there.

I guarantee that if they we checked out for their source of income that at least 60% of them are on the dole in one way or the other.

What were children doing there? Isn't this a school day or were they learning how to protest school as well? I hope they were marked as truant from class.

These protestors don't work. They have no idea what the Golden Gate is like during commute traffic hours. Further, they don't care to know. Only, to be "noticed".

"their source of income that at least 60% of them are on the dole in one way or the other. "No doubt about that; none of them had to be at work, so that tells you a lot about WHO this crowd of malcontents is....
To: SmithL
When their "International Peace Day" protest collides with somebody's "International Have-To-Get-To-Work Day" routine, they shouldn't be surprised to be waking up in an ER somewhere with tread marks on their damn faces.
Those schmucks have obviously never considered the possibility of a road rage type of response to their antics.

The crowd of men, women and children -- who ranged in age from 8 to 78 One, why aren't the kids in school. Two, are these absences excused?

SAN FRANCISCO -- About 40 peace activists, many of them dressed in pink and flashing peace signs, slowed traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge this morning and got into minor clashes with police.
Oh that will really help them get more support!

Animal cruelty!

40 Pinko's get press and over 30,000 protesting Iran & Chavez at UN get barely a mention....go figure

Yeah. A rich vein of Bush support there. Well, more than you might think, because those 15% of Marinites who vote Republican and actually work for a living do commute south over the bridge (I was one of them for many years). ;)

Several times each month these nutcases, dressed in pink, stand on an overpass in Bezerkley with their stupid signs. They disrupt traffic going into San Francisco, but on the Bay Bridge side. I called the CHP on them a couple of times complaining that they were making a traffic hazard, but I got no satisfaction. Why they think this helps their cause, I have no idea. Apparently they did not feel they were disruptive enough, so they went to the Golden Gate Bridge.
However, when our group of flagwavers stood on an overpass waving U.S. flags, we were run off one week because they said we were causing a traffic problem. Now we only go up there on Sept. 11 each year.
