Chavez did something for all of us. A clear expose of the left.

I find it interesting that some normally vicious people, Rangle, Pelosi and I am sure others, would now rush to the defense of a man they have said as much or worse about.

President Bush has been accused by these folks of treason over the war. They have LIED about his character and intentions and about facts themselves.

That a 3 rate loser-piece-of-trash like Chavez said it does not matter to me...Pelosi and company have demonstrated that its do as I say not as I do in all of their politics and now will have to do something against their own conscience...support President Bush.

Most people are not fooled by their politics. They can see that the effort to pontificate about America is only an attempt to curry favor with a body of voters who do not like what they have to say and the polls are now reflecting it. In other words...its only because there is a little time before an important election and they are not looking so good anymore. So...play to the crowd.

Its political cowardice. Osama thinks Bush is evil. So does Pelosi. Chavez thinks Bush is a liar, so does Rangle. Many in the UN think Bush is a torturer, so does Ted Kennedy. If they had any intellectual honesty they would stand up and say "Hey Chavez...stop trying to steal my thunder!"

Make no mistake...Chavez is acting like an enemy of our nation. But politically he is so irrelevant that responding to his pathetic remarks would be like rewarding Saddam for having done a nice job in Iraq as President. Chavez will not last as long as some think. He is no Castro and the people of his nation will not take too much more of him. He will get his soon enough.

What’s more troubling for me is that Rangle, Pelosi and Kennedy and others will suffer little for their obvious pandering by their self important patriotic hand wringing. If they believe their own words...they could never do what they do on a daily basis and sleep at night.

Chavez did us a favor. He exposed these liberals in clear terms for what they are...frauds.

Rangel came out against Chavez, interestingly enough. Probably following the poll bounce Chavez gave Bush.

All this weasel did was repeat what members of the RAT party have been saying for 5 years now. I expect this from commie dictators; I don't from US policians of any party.

The Democrats, like the Canadian Liberals, have been completely infiltrated with anti-American Leftists. Is it just a coincidence that neither currently hold power?

Iran and Venezuela both export large amounts of crude oil, and derive much of their income from that source.

The Soviet Union exported large amounts of oil during the cold war and derived most of their hard currency from it.

In 1985, following a visit from then Vice President George H. W. Bush, Saudi Arabia increased exports of crude oil and the prices for crude oil dropped precipitously. The lower crude oil prices are one reason that the Soviet Union no longer had sufficient hard currency to compete with the US in the Cold War.

Crude Oil supplies are now at high levels, and OPEC, at the insistence of the Saudis, has not decreased production. Prices are falling dramatically.

One must wonder if the Saudis are intentionally using lower oil prices to reign in Iran and Venezuela?

As they have since 2000, they underestimate the basic intelligence and spirit of ordinary Americans out here in the heartland!

They are so insulated by their relationship with Hollywood, with Cindy Sheehan, George Soros, and all the others of their ilk that they believe we actually cannot see through their hypocrisy, which is equaled only by their hatred--a hatred that has blinded them.

As has been said, "Hatred is an acid that does far more damage to the vessel in which it is stored than the object on which it is poured."

I was doing other things and just heard parts of this speech. Without any other thoughts I just thought it was Howierd Dean giving a speech. I swear I did. I did think the voice was funny but I was in the other room. Dean could easily have written this for Chavez.

"Rangel came out against Chavez"

Only to say to critize those who voted for Bush, don't critisize the President himself.
Rangles quote is,"If there is any criticism of President Bush, it should be restricted to Americans, whether they voted for him or not."

Thanks Charlie.
