From the speech:

"Is it not possible to build a better world based on monotheism?"

I would note that it is the muslim position that Christians are not monotheistic, but rather worship 3 seperate Gods.

That may be true, but it's also possible they didn't want to give him a pipeline for his propaganda to the American people.

Ahmadinejad said that someone present at the UN told him that a light surrounded him while he was delivering his speech to the General Assembly. The Iranian president added that he also sensed it.

Welcome to the 21st century. We call them.... "spotlights"

He must preach it from the mountain tops of Iran so that he can be better surrounded by that mighty light.

They aren't scared about the possibility of millions of people dying. That are far more fearful that the President is right, and that the world they've created for themselves is all too wrong.

This is the last line from the article.

And, it's worth remembering.

Media won't report what he says because they know everytime he opens his mouth, republican poll numbers go up.

"Is it not possible to build a better world based on monotheism, justice, love and respect for the rights of human beings and thereby transform animosities into friendship?"

Funny how their first step to justice, love, and respect is to blow up everyone who disagrees.

During this same speech, Ahmadinejad called for the near-term reappearance of the 12th Imam, who he feels will redeem the world through an apocalypse he feels his sect has the right and responsibility to create.

This is the main point to keep in mind regarding the Iranian Presidedent. Rush went on and on today about this closing, talking about how he wants the Mahdi to come. He really failed to say anything about Ahmadinjed (sp?)wanting to create the circumstances to bring about the Mahdi's return. That being a worldwide war. A great conflagration. Strategists analyze Iran's military and economic strength and can give us 10 reasons why they don't want war with the West. What they fail to realize is that to the leaders of Iran none of that matters...their job is to start the war, not win it. The Mahdi will come and save them and destroy us. It's that mindset that frightens me.

As I noted in August, the mullahcracy that runs Iran belongs to the apocalyptic Hojjatieh sect, a branch of Shia Islam so radical it was banned in 1983 by Ayatollah Khomeini.

A sect of Islam so nuts, even Khomeini banned it. Now that is serious crazy.

The suppression of his words was deliberate.
The media don't want us to hear the words "the institution of Islamic government worldwide"
because then it might give support to Bush and those sensible people who want to keep the head-choppers out of the USA.

This guy is out if his freaking mind.
If events allow him to reach the critical amount of power, he will cause more death and destruction than Hitler, Stalin and Mao combined.
The 21st century could be the bloodiest ever in that case.

Very simple to understand the ramifications of this speech.

1996: Bin Laden Declares War on the United States.

2006 Mahmoud Ahmadinejad repeatedly declares war on the United States, highlighted by his speeches before the UN.

Oh, almighty God, all men and women are your creatures and you have ordained their guidance and salvation. Bestow upon humanity that thirst for justice, the perfect human being promised to all by you, and makers among his followers and among those who strive for his return and his cause.

And I supposed the Nutjob believes that he is this "perfect human being"? I bet he was wearing elevator shoes and standing on a platform when he said it. Just doesn't sound as convincing coming from a man who is shorter than my 5'3" wife.
