LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Southern California formally complained that ABC-TV's Brent Musburger revealed privileged information in play-by-play commentary during Saturday's game against Nebraska.
The university sent a letter to ESPN, which oversees sports programming on ABC, saying Musburger, with less than 10 minutes to play and the Trojans leading 21-10, began describing how USC quarterback John David Booty lets receivers know he has spotted a certain kind of coverage.

I watched the broadcast - there's no way they were "anti" USC . The only thing they didn't do was bow down and worship at Carroll's feet. They talked from the beginning like Nebraska didn't stand a chance (who cares if it was true? sportscasters are supposed to build up the drama! ie "north-east new hampshire may be 0-14 in the itty-bitty conference, but they may give Michigan a tough test today!")
Nor do you give them competition.

During a football game, many years ago, the fans of the home team, who had decided that Brent had been against their team for a while, decided to chant "F*ck You Brent!" during his telecast of a big game. You could hear it on TV and everything.

this is the same ESPN that for all of last year was telling us that USC was the greatest team ever, two Heisman winers in the back field, Pete Carroll is a genius, going for three-peat ... blah, blah, blah
and still reminding us that SC has the longest "regular season" winning streak (love that one, guess the little thing called the BCS Championship Game didn't count) ...

As soon as Bush give back his Heisman, USC is no longer natty champs for 03 or whenever, and the football team goes on probation for a few years for their violations everyone will be on their back! Friggin cheaters! LOL
