He said his grandfather's incarceration by the Germans had a profound effect on his mother; that because it was a painful memory, it was almost never discussed. "Some may find it odd that I have not probed deeply into the details of my family history, but it's a fact," Allen said in his statement. Speaking with The Times-Dispatch, Allen said the disclosure is "just an interesting nuance to my background." He added, "I still had a ham sandwich for lunch. And my mother made great pork chops."

Well shut my mouf'.
I agree with you. That said, IF the Supreme Court were to demonstrate that the abortion issue would be going back to the States where it belongs under the Constitution, the views of the President on abortion would not be as critical as they are now.
Right now they are relevant to his views of the Constitution and, therefore, to the types of judges and Justices he will seek. It is also relevant to his leadership on any abortion-related legislative issues (which, on the federal level, would also go away if the Court returned the issue to the states).
Read the sicko comments by Markos on DailyKos to see how this was all a big setup from the Webb campaign, for which Markos' partner Jerome is a consultant.
Guliani is a social liberal as well as a RINO. Good mayor yes. Repub presidential candidate - never.
This was just the Democrats way of letting the bigots in Virgina that may be supporting Allen know that he is part Jewish.
Just another Democrat dirty trick. Nothing more.
The troll was zotted. :)

Um...does anybody else think that's just a wee bit insensitive? I mean, some Jews do eat pork. That's kind of a generalization, George. I mean, my sister doesn't eat pork, but she's not Jewish. Ben over at Not Larry Sabato tells me he does eat pork, and I'll take his word that he is Jewish
Seems that we have a winner here. Raising Kaine is like the poor man's DailyKos. I think it even uses the same software.
He can't respond to you. He is gone.
Guiliani is a leader and leaders do not allow themselves to be limited by their past. They move into the future and you will see what I mean in the upcoming months.
We need a leader who can, above all, fight our enemies foreign and domestic. He is capable of handling both al Queda, The Party of Treason/Treason Media. No one else comes even close.
He will be as good as the President at the former and much better at the latter.
