Palm Beach Post Washington Bureau ^ | September 20, 2006 | Larry Lipman

On Tuesday morning, it looked like U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris was going to miss Thursday's rally in Orlando with President Bush and Republican gubernatorial nominee Charlie Crist.

Harris' schedule showed her participating in votes in Washington on Thursday for a series of House votes on immigration bills and then attending a River City Republican Club function in Atlantic Beach, near Jacksonville, around the same time as the evening rally.

her throat was hoarse, from so many speaking engagements.

LOL--Harris was at the Palmetto Gun Show Saturday too. That was an impressive deep, froggy voice coming from such a petite woman. Had to chuckle when the men were lined up to get photos with Harris, and they were offering her lozenges from their pockets.

Wonder how they'll deal with it when Harris wins the Senate seat?

They will probably blame it on the 'unsophisticated' moral values voters and then there will be feature articles lamenting that the Dems 'for some unknown reason' can't seem to 'connect' with those 'simple minded' traditional people.......LOL

LOL!!! Oh my....if everything was just that easy. ;-)

But....it isn't our call.
So, until they make a boo boo, we'll just have to do your suggestion. IGNORE them.

So, we both are right.;-)

I'm voting for her bump!

This race has always had the possibility to turn into a very, very interesting contest.

I believe it will.

However people have tried to trash Katherine Harris, we know she will vote in a way that will gladen our hearts.

This is especially true compared to Nelson, who won't bother to fake a few votes to appear moderate once the election is over.

I've been proud to send her 5 contributions over the last year. Hope someone else will get out and stump for her or make phone calls to get out our vote.

We can pull this off!!

Katherine Harris......YES...SHE CAN.......WIN!

Top 10 Reasons Katherine Harris Will Beat Bill Nelson

1. Katherine Harris has the interest of Floridians at heart. She isn’t afraid of taking on the “beltway boys,” the liberal media or her General Election opponent who shares the values of Washington, DC’s “liberal-elite.”

2. Katherine Harris shares the values of most Floridians, her liberal opponent does not.

3. Katherine Harris has a proven record of accomplishment fighting for taxpayer relief, immigration reform, and standing up for senior citizens.

4. Katherine Harris is tested by fire. She has a strong backbone and will not back down in the face of adversity.

5. Katherine Harris has the grassroots support of Florida voters, high name ID, and Florida is a “red state” that supports Republican candidates.

6. Katherine Harris has a “can do” attitude. Her liberal General Election opponent has a “do nothing” attitude. For example, he says a comprehensive immigration reform bill isn’t likely to pass the Senate this year. Katherine Harris has already voted in favor of an immigration reform bill and believes our U.S. Senator should fight for important legislation as opposed to shrugging it off and saying it can’t be done.

7. Katherine Harris is a strong proponent of 2nd Amendment Rights. She has an “A” rating from the N.R.A. While her liberal General Election opponent likes to call himself a sportsman when he’s talking to voters, back in D.C. liberal Bill Nelson gets an “F” rating from the N.R.A.

8. Katherine Harris has fought to reduce taxes, and cut waste, fraud, and abuse. She has signed the American’s for Tax Reform “no new taxes” pledge. Her liberal General Election opponent never met a tax he didn’t hike and refuses to sign the no new tax pledge.

9. Katherine Harris has never lost an election – ever. And she has defeated two incumbents and two statewide elections.

10. Katherine Harris has common-sense Florida values. Bill Nelson has Washington values led by Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton. In fact, Bill Nelson has been rated as more liberal than Hillary Clinton by the non-partisan National Journal.

196 D's voted against photo ID, wonder how PBP explains that???

Sept. 20, 2006, 8:00PM House passes bill to make voters show ID By JIM ABRAMS Associated Press Writer © 2006 The Associated Press WASHINGTON

— The House voted Wednesday to require Americans to show proof of citizenship in order to vote, and the Senate moved to build a 700-mile fence along the Mexican border as Republicans sharpened attacks on illegal immigration before the midterm elections.

The 228-196 House vote on a new photo ID plan and the Senate's consideration of the fence were both part of a get-tough policy on illegal immigrants that Republicans have embraced after Congress' failure to agree on broader legislation that would set a path for undocumented workers to attain citizenship.
