How long until the media freaks out over Abe visiting a war shrine?

He would be the youngest PM since WW2..

Go ABE!!! If the BJP comes to power in India and Netanyahu's Likud in Israel, we will have the best set of Allies in Asia. Now waiting to see center-right governments in France and a continuation of Blair-like leadership in the UK. Germany and Sweden are already there.

Time to start looking at countries like South Africa and Brazil.

If the BJP comes to power in India

The BJP has mental and emotional issues.

The BJP has mental and emotional issues.

In politics, that isn't an uncommon state of affairs.

They are racist. (Opinion has changed from neutral to opposition; though hyper-nationalist Indian freepers who can't take any constructive criticism of their country was only a very small part of why. Largely because of increased research and information. The Economist has reported that they are changing, though).

Care to elaborate? Given that the Americans have slept with the devil in the past to defeat their immediate enemies, the mental and emotional "issues" of an ally should be of little concern. Like Dubya himself said, if its just between Christianity and Islam, you will lose.

Now don't go on and start giving me that stuff about how the BJP is anti-Christian and all that. It is vital to understand that everyone has his own interests at stake here. Indians and Hindus in particular have no time to waste in fighting someone else's wars for them. This is our war and we are in it for our interests. If you want to continue to sleep with the devil, that is your choice. You must remember that there are more Muslims in the world than there are Christians and your weapons cant destroy every single one of them. Not today...

Here comes the whiner. You still haven't answered the questions I put forth a month ago and you have the gall to go on about racism and Hindus and the BJP. The challenge is still on. If you don't have the guts to admit you were wrong or the knowledge to point to the opposite, I suggest you stop whining.

Wishful thinking on your part, perhaps, but not true:

That would mean prying Brazil from the hands of Lula's corrupt communists and the same for South Africa's ANC.

Unlikely, unless we are willing to get our hands dirty by running clandestine ops to get them booted out.
